I knew it was going to happen eventually. I just didn't think it would happen in Donald's Dock. I was happily skipping through Barnacle Blvd on my new uber. I came upon a two story and stood there waiting for other toons to go in with me. Two toons came up and proceeded to tell me it was too risky. I told them I had enough gags. They kept saying it was too risky and finally You stink! I had better gags then them. They were 26 and 28 laffers with cream pie slice and squirt gun. I have fruit pie and seltzer and am 15 laff. They then told me I needed more laff points. Of all the nerve! This is Donald's Dock for cripe sake! Not Dreamland. It does get frustrating trying to work gags on an uber. I don't want to bother my friends as they offer to help me with enough buildings. I wish transferring toons was once again allowed as I would move Sadie to my other account and let her help my uber. I am thinking I might just hurry up and make a 100 laffer on the other account to help me. Anyway, just had to vent! Thanks for listening to me whine. :p

At one point in my short ToonTown career I might have been the toon telling you that. Not because I thought I was better then you but because I did not have enough knowledge to check your stats and know that you are a very helpful toon indeed.

So in their defense they just don't know and understand wuite yet how IMPORTANT your uber WILL be in the NEAR furture when they need a 25 or less laffer to knock down a 2, 3 or more story building.

Ubers RULE.

Hang in there! When I first started Miss-Chief, the stinking bothered me so much. Working gags and factories were the worst. Later, on some days it would take me an hour to get an elevator to the vp in river. Believe it or not, it does get easier. There are a lot of helpful toons out there that will stick up for you, help you gag train, and even escort you through factories and revenge runs. Now that miss-chief is a hw 49 and has waited 3 weeks to max.. I find that I can't even get stinkied anymore. And, in some weird ways, I find myself missing it, missing being able to use my speedchat cleverly to tell those meanie toons off. So, when you find yourself being riskied or stinkied, find a way to laugh at the ignorance. Smile to yourself..and remember why you made your uber.... for the challenge, for the fun.. and for the chance to view your toony pedicure in daisy's gardens for the millionth time..all while chanting. "I like this game".

Hey Sadie, let me know and I can do a factory with you. Precious is to the point where doing buildings are a little much for her merits so she will be doing them now. I'd be glad to go with you when I need merits!! :)

Dont worry Sadie. When you get your cream pie the little ones will want to be your friend. When you get the birthday cake, be sure the friends option is turned off because the big stinkers will want to be your friend.

Sadie, I would like to help too. I still have so far to go with both Stubby and Fancy. I was scared of the vp for a long time, cause i had no clue what i was doing, but have a long way to go with both, so if I am on, give me a holler. If you want to send me a code for both my toons that would be great!:D

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I really don't mind the stinking, but was expecting it in harder pgs. Today I was at the Dreamland beanfest when some cat kept whispering it was too risky for me and lets go to TTC. LOL! I'm at a beanfest!! LOL! She wouldn't shut up so she became the first toon I put on ignore. I have gotten a lot of you rock and you are awesome and I only still have my fruit pie and seltzer. Tonight I will be getting my hose and cream pie! Whohooo!! So excited! And Sandi I will send you a couple of codes when I get on tonight. Thanks for all the offers of help! I will be needing that sell suit now but won't go in a vp til I have at least bday cake and storm cloud.

LD can help you out. Or if you want more of a challenge, PM me a code for my own low-laff. ;)

Like Joe said, before I found Stratics and other forums, I didn't even know ubers existed so I didn't even bother to check for gags. I just assumed (mistakenly) that the toon's experience was based on tasks alone. The day after I found out about ubers, I remember checking toon stats almost non-stop while waiting at the pit to vp. Heehee!

I second the opinion. That could have been me, say, just three weeks ago.

It has come to mean "if you go with me you will go sad. I am not skilled enough or have the time or patience to take someone with your laff." Or "I will see to it you go sad as a lesson never to go into a bldg/factory/etc with that laff ."

I can take a cooperative 15 laffer into a 5 lvl bldg - right susan? LOL

You see how those kids post on TTC "hey low laff toons! you have no right being in a HQ etc etc." When one of my small toons tries to get to the side fac entrance and are teleported to by some oafish 80something laffer who riskies me and tries to get in on my solo run, I think of those thread starters.

Yes, that's what the risky phrase means to me.

I use it when I am as an uber and the kids who dare use it on me yell help when they lose their 1 laff point against a 4.

Toesies will rhyme it of course.

Or I'll use it as a blatant joke.

I might say this isnt what you need. That's more appropriate if you have the gags of and behave like a curious baby toon set on sabotaging my bldg etc run.

As an afterthought, I think the CJ run is too risky for 98% of the toons who step on that elevator.

Hi! New poster here! Usually I just read, but this made me want to comment. The reason I don't like to go to big bldg or factory with low-laff toons, whatever their gag level is, is because I spend the entire time keeping them alive. Even if they have wedding cake, etc., and they are using it, it just means they get hit because they are using bigger gags. I don't want to go and spend the whole time keeping one other toon alive so that they can work their 2 gags. I don't stink them or tell them its too risky for them. I just tell them good luck, no thank you, and change districts or wait for them to get in with someone else if they are persistent. Its fine that they enjoy the risks, but the others have their own agendas too.

Welcome ZippyW!

The ubers vs small toons is that ubers will compensate for your sound. For example if a 15er uber runs with two big toons who double ele the gear room or boiler room, they will put the finishing touches on the lvl 6 cog.

I've taken small ubers through and it's never been a liability.

And you know Toesies solos her factories now just as Flappy did - well not exactly like Flappy since she doesnt have maxed sound yet, but you get the idea. We're talking about MAYBE being down 10ish pts from a goon hit but usually full laff. The few times she misses a gag she still comes out 9 times out of 10 attacked runs.

My big friends and my smaller toons run like nothing. And before I had goggles on Lucky Toesies my friend would tag the end cogs first and I would run in if their lure didnt miss ;) Now of course I have her aim for the 9 while I lure. It's big toon with big toon in the factory with a real uber.

And when the sound is maxed it's nothing to do a regular two-toon run. Okay so she hoses the 6 while the friend toons, or I doodle as the friend hoses. We storm the last set with two fogs just as usual. That's big toons stuff anyway.

Thanks for the welcome! I was afraid I would be the one getting stunk! I'm not sure I understood all that you said (especially about "toesies"), but this part "ubers will compensate for your sound." Did you mean compensate for my tooning them? It's not really the question of compensation since they only cost a bean, but of time and energy. I guess if I was wanting to work toon up, I could see doing it, but what if I was wanting to work something else? Aren't we supposed to use bldgs for that? I guess I'm just saying I'm cautious about going with toons who only have 2 kinds of gags and low laffs. It would depend on what size bldg and what other toons/gags are going along. There is never a need for anyone to be ugly about it. I try to remember that there are a lot of kids playing who really don't understand all of these fine details. Do ubers generally not have toon up or do some have toon up and one gag? Maybe I misunderstand what an uber is (I was thinking they were under 30 laff and 2 gags). How do they do a VP without getting a 20-laff hit by a cog cog, especially if they are using the bigger gags?

Welcome to Toontown Stratics!

I have a 4 track uber with TU and lure. She's about 42 laff I think (she hasn't gotten out much lately). Lure and TU aren't maxed but they're durned close. I also have a 3 track uber with Toonup. She is a 30 laff and a Mr Hollywood 50. The definition of uber in this game is basically "low laff, big gags". It's a challenge for some to create and build them. It's a challenge for some to play with them. I've never known an uber to force themselves on someone who didn't want to play with them.

Thanks for all the welcomes!

"I've never known an uber to force themselves on someone who didn't want to play with them." --- I'm not sure ANY toon can force themselves on another!!! You either refuse to get on the elevator or hop on off! And you can always change districts if they insist on getting on. Haha! But I'm sure ubers do their fair share of "stinking" on toons who don't want to go with them. I don't run into them often enough to see them as a group and judge that. Usually, when I see some toon refusing to get on with a little toon, they have like lvl-3 gags and want to run the factory or are wanting to battle cogs on Pajama Place!

I personally wish Disney would take you stink off the speed chat. I also wish they could do something about the shuffling of small toons on the VP elevator.

Hi Zippy.. welcome to Stratics.

I'm new here too, and I've found everyone to be very kind and helpful. I wanted to say thank you for being one of the toons that knows how to decline running with ubers without risking or stinking us. I think we all appreciate toons that can say no without being condescending. I'm always sensitive to the needs of other toons and try not to load with those who are not comfortable with my low laff toons. It seems that maybe you've had some difficult runs with ubers or ubers in training in the past that maybe left you wary of running with them. I can honestly say after building up 2 ubers, that my need for tune up in the factory is no more than that of any toon. (on most days ;) ) My two tracker can breeze through an entire factory without losing 1 point. If sound misses she may need a tu, but I'm not afraid to use my doodle to allow other toons to continue to fight the cogs. With my 3 track sound uber.. its just like running a big toon. She can withstand a bit more, and I dont find many that wont load with her. I've been with many 100+ toons who cry for a toonup when they are at 70 laff standing beside my then 17 laff toon. So even with the big toons, you may have to toonup. If you'd like to become less uber wary, let me know, I'd be happy to run some factories with you on either of my ubers.. just for fun. If you'd rather not, I'm still pleased to meet you and look forward to seeing you on the playground.

Well, that's my point. Ubers see resistance, understand and move on. Small toons (not uber) are the ones that shuffle elevators even when it's obvious why the shuffling is happening.

Of course, this is all generalized. I'm sure there are examples of the opposite happening for both sides, just few and far between.

... I also wish they could do something about the shuffling of small toons on the VP elevator.
Join the Stratics crew on a Sunday night VP run! I can now say firsthand that it's a totally different world compared to any time with randoms, but that's another thread... Check out the event calendar.

You know, I did a 5-story building the other day in DD with two 25 laff ubers who were just awesome! I think I only had to use TU once after my lure missed - other than that it went fine. I also used whatever gag I wanted and they compensated for whatever I didn't do. Go UBERS!!!

Zippy, I dont think you totally understand what playing with a true uber entails.... You wouldnt be spending any time trying to keep a true alive unless a gag misses. An uber is a lot different from a low laff toon. Most people that have ubers have at least 1 other toon that is a high laffer. Ubers can "do the math" and know what gag combinations will take out what. I am more than happy to take a 15 laffer with Birthday cake and storm cloud into and level of bldg .... as for the factory... I can easily solo it on any toon... so anybody that comes along... its a free ride for them....

LFP.... WELCOME!!!!!

) I'm pretty sure I understand what an uber is. ;) I'm not sure what good having another toon with high laffs would do unless they are playing two toons at once. My point was that an uber can't take as many hits as a high-laff toon and thats why some don't play with them at times. I see I'm outnumbered here, but JMO that I would take a high-laff toon with maxed gags over a low-laff toon (uber) with maxed gags if 5 of us were standing in front of an elevator. No insults intended!! Like I said, I never stink or argue with some toon over whether they feel they can go. I decide on my own.
