Birthplace of the Sith species. A barren harsh world, it’s surface littered with the giant tombs and monuments to long dead Sith Lords carved into its rocky cliff faces. This was a world blighted by the dark side of the Force, its corrupting nature felt in the cold winds that blew across the planets surface.
It would be the Dark Side that became the basis of the fledgling Sith Society. Though Religion played a huge part in Sith culture, their very existence one of servitude to the dark side, it was also one of violent bloody warfare. Whilst the priest-like caste the Kissai performed horrific religious sacrifices, the warrior Massassi class would battle one another in brutal tribal warfare.
It was not until the birth of a black skinned Sith named Adas that they would finally be united. Hailed as the Sith chosen one, Adas excelled in the use of the Dark Side and military might. Battle after Battle Adas conquered the warring nations of Korriban with unstoppable force. Finally Korriban was unified under the banner of King Adas. He was revered as the very embodiment of the dark side, the perfect being, The Sith’ari. But even the rule of King Adas would not be one of peace.
Three hundred years after the Birth of King Adas, the Sith were visited by the Rakata. Possibly drawn to Korriban because of their own flirtation with the Dark Side, the Rakata came offering Adas much of their knowledge in exchange for peace and a seat amongst their Infinite Empire. But soon their true intentions were shown. The Rakata had come to conquer the Sith.
Though the Rakata failed in their attempts, repelled back into space by King Adas, the Sith took many casualties, one of them being Adas himself. Without their Kings influence the Sith once more descended into warfare as rival Sith battled for the right to rule. Thousands of years after the death of Adas, unbeknownst to the Sith their future masters started their journey to Korriban. Exiled Dark Jedi of the Republic.
Once more the Dark Side of the Force brought an outside influence to Korriban. On arrival the Dark Jedi quickly assumed dominance over the Sith Species who bowed to their use of the Dark Side. It was the Dark Jedi Ajunta Pall who would become the first Dark Lord of the Sith. Once more the Sith Empire was unified and with the secrets of Space travel unlocked the Sith Empire spread out conquering neighboring worlds, relocating their capital to the planet Ziost. Leaving Korriban as a sacred world, a burial world for their dead lords and their bloody past.
