If the problem with The Sims Online is financial, it can be fixed.

1. Remove free players from the game. Give them their 14 day trial with 1 sim and only in TC3.

2. Make a smaller package, where as a player can choose 4 sims in TC3 for $5.99 USD per month. Which means no Ea-Land for numbers 1 and 2. No custom content for numbers 1 and 2.

3. Keep Ea-Land open for full subscribers of $9.99 USD per month. With all custom content and everything the game can offer. No cash out period. Can leave cash in for those that wish to use it.

There are a lot of angry members right now. They are angry because TSO is their virtual world and we all made friends on there we dont want to lose. EA, we want to keep our game. Why rip it from under us. You are losing more by closing the game than you would by keeping it open. All we need is for the lag to be fixed. We have CC, raise the payouts and keep the skill % up. Most of the purpose we all have for the game is to build and keep our friends and to make more friends. Ea, how would you feel if someone ripped your company and all its money out from under you? That is what you are doing to us. Please reconsider!!!

Oh please......

EA is currently involved in a hostile takeover of "Take Two". This could lead to loss of jobs, and lifestyles of "Take Two" employees, and you think they would consider how players feel if they close down a game?????

You're going to need a better plea than THAT.

I wouldn't mind betting the final straw was Luc leaving. If no one has the necessary experience to step into his shoes, then the game will lose popularity as promised improvements or fixes don't materialise. EA simply projected ahead and could see that it would be downhill from here.
