My Hiryu has 90.0 detect hidden, 80.0 parry, and 100 focus. And a dismount ability. How can i remove these skills and abilites?
In some cases you can remove abilities from pets. Give a Rune Beetle Disco, for example, and it'll lose Rune Corruption.
I appreciate both of these comments... they are indeed need to know info. Also, giving Chivalry to a Rune Beetle makes it loses poisoning, but it keeps rune corruption.
Monsters have always had detect hidden, we just haven't been able to see it until now.I'd like to know why most pets come with "Detect Hidden" now?
I don't PvP so I have absolutely no use for this skill to be on a pet. That's valuable points i'm losing to a useless skill..
It should be a skill that you choose to add or not after the 1st round of training.....
I'm going to guess that you don't get any warning regarding this?Btw, putting chivalry on your pet suppress piercing, bashing, slashing, battle defence and wrestling mastery.
It will still show on the list that you picked those, but the abilities tied to it will be gone.
Same with replacing battle defence with bashing, for example.
And you don't get the points from the other ability back, so you will end up with a weaker pet if you do this.
You get a warning that chiv will replace any other magical abilities, but no warning that you won't get points back if you picked another magical ability before.I'm going to guess that you don't get any warning regarding this?
If not this is seriously needed!
Hopefully the guide and in-game will help people not make the same mistakes... hate thinking about all the wasted time...You get a warning that chiv will replace any other magical abilities, but no warning that you won't get points back if you picked another magical ability before.
I didn't get a warning when I picked bashing to replace battle defence, which I had picked wrongly due to the description of both being switched up at their official wiki page.
With that, my fire steed ended up with 200 less points than it should, so it is weaker than a properly trained fire steed.
They need to put better warnings, listing explicitly what the pet will lose/stop using if you pick another magical ability.Hopefully the guide and in-game will help people not make the same mistakes... hate thinking about all the wasted time...
Exactly especially since they won't let you go back and fix it or get the lost points back. They need to put better warnings, listing explicitly what the pet will lose/stop using if you pick another magical ability.
This can lead to some very expensive mistakes, like adding 120 mage & eval int scrolls to your pet the adding spellweaving to it, thinking it will complement his magery skills nicely.
And then the pet stops casting magery spells completely.
Why on earth would you train a vollum? Just cause you like the look of it? With all different pets and variability out there, I don't understand giving up a nightmare powered pet that requires no taming.I think were going to need Pet Amnesia potions pretty soon, basically take the pet back to freshly tamed status.
I know I only have 1 pet that can actually do the training anyway and there is not a chance in hell i'm starting that until I know ALL the pitfalls of pet training and not just what the devs could be bothered to let us know about in the very short testing period.
The fact that I cannot even train my Turtle 1 level makes this whole "pet revamp" kinda pointless and just fluff which 99% will be bored with in a couple weeks.
For me I cannot train my Turtle, cannot train my albino squirrel pack and don't dare take the risk of training my Vollem incase I screw it up.........yeah my enjoyment of this new "revamp" is pretty much zero so far.
I guess my point was that I never saw the point of using a vollum on a character with taming... just to many better options. If nothing else, a nightmare is at least rideable.Hey, I love my Vollem.
I hated the fact I could never go out with it as it was so damb quick to die. Now I can give it some durability
The fact that they are trying to cheapen it with that poxy dinosaur copy is bad enough...
My main point though was the fact all my pets were fully trained so are all 5 slot......why would I want to train an inferior pet just to specialise In 1 mob????
We should have atleast been able to do 1 level up with them instead of just ignoring the 2 pets that EVERYONE will still have to use....
