A new year is upon us, its time to make anew,
So we make New Year's Resolutions and throw out the old shoes.
Let bygones be bygones, and try to forgive,
How they pinched on our bunions and scrunched on our toes.
Make Peace with your Enemies, but never forget what they've done,
Like that old pair of shoes, you'll be better off without them.
Its better to start out with clear Conscience and Heart
Hope the new shoes fit comfortably right from the start.
The future looks bright as the new fallen snow,
We put on dark glasses, it helps avoid the glow.
So we get out our shovels and put on our galoshes,
Err, I can't think of a word that rhymes with galoshes...
We dig through the snow to clear a new path,
So our feet can step easily; don't want to fall on our @$$.
Old paths are familiar and comfortable and cozy,
We follow them blindly without question or quandary.
I wrote this poem, it took two and half hours of my time,
I didn't save it while writing and lost the whole dang rhyme,
With a click of the mouse on something that was blocked,
It refreshed my page and the whole thing was lost.
Tried to remember the gist of my thoughts,
Sadly this one's not as good as the original plots.
So here it is anyway, I've given it my best,
Hope you enjoy it, Its been more than a test.

Yesterday's gone, Thank God for this New Year!
