Guilds unable to ally (perpetual loop considerng alliance with self)

I know of several guilds who are unable to ally with anyone because at some time in the past the guildmaster clicked on the wrong guild name, their own guild name!

Now whenever they try to ally they get told they're 'considering an alliance'. They can neither accept nor reject this alliance, because the guild name in question is their own.

Is there any way to break out of this loop?

You are better off asking it on uhell since it seams anyone from EA is to afraid to post or read here.

I have seen this once , a GM said the only solution was to disband and re-guild everyone. But that was a GM, so it may not be accurate.

OH, and I have a feeling Jeremy doesn't visit this forum.

have you tried ellecting a new guild leader ?

i had this happen recently . well not exactly but it might be close enough to work .

my guild has been with the same guildmaster for years . since the guild was on a stone .

someone tried to ally my guild . i never even saw the invite . only way i got it to work was to promote annother guildmember to guildmaster (it was a guy on one of my other accounts . but you could elect a trusted friend if you dont have multiple accts .) then just vote you back in afterward .

worked for me . once i had a new GM i could see the invite . now it wasnt exactly the same. it wasnt that i had considered myself as ally , but maybe my fix might work for you too.
