Hail all!
OPS would like you all to know that it is holding its first ever UO Fan Fiction Contest!
For all of you budding authors, this is a great opportunity to showcase your talents, and perhaps get a little bit of exposure for your wonderful stories. With some of the great stories that people have written for pure enjoyment, we are hoping that with our 'incentives' people will come up with the greatest stories about UO that they have ever written!

Conditions of entry :
Entries will be accepted no earlier than the 1st of June and no later than 11:59pm on the 14th of June.
All stories MUST be UO related, and must follow the TOS rules regarding profanity etc. Apart from that your story may be in any style or about any aspect of UO that you desire.
A limit of approximately 3000 words applies.
All entries are to be emailed to [email protected] by the due date. Please leave your name and ICQ# and/or email address with your post so that we can contact you and so that others may verify that you are NOT a member of OPS.
Multiple entries are not allowed.

Our prize pool for the first of our fiction competitions is this:
1st prize:
A tall candle(daily rare), a pillow with tassels, a wall trophy of the winners choice & 50k in gold.
2nd prize:
A small painting, 5 dried herbs, 6 dried onions, 5 dried flowers, a whip & 30k in gold.
3rd prize:
a pair of coloured sandals, 1 horseshoe, 1 silver wire, 1 forged metal, 2 reversed ingots, stacked arrows & 20k in gold.
We wish to have a more thoughtful prize than just gold, as we want to reward people for the thought that they put into thier stories.
In the future, we hope to have more valuable rares as prizes, but we need your support now to make it happen.....
After reviewing all of the stories, the OPS librarians will transcribe them into books for the OPS Keep Library. Where they will be stored for all to see and read at any time. The stories will also be posted to the OPS forums, with a link from the Oceania Stratics forum as well.
Judges for this contest will be 3 members of OPS. No member of OPS will be permitted to enter the competition.
