Fighting critters with low Poison Resist - spell advice, pse!

Hi fellow UOers, my experience with a magery is that its offensive spells are almost exclusively confined to Fire and Energy damages. I think Mindblast does Cold, but not very sure though...

Now, if I were to tackle a critter with high resists in all areas, its Poison being the weakest, am I right to assume that Necro spells, specifically Poison Strike and Strangle, would be my best bet to maximise damage I can do?

Also, does SDI items help with necro spell damages?

Yes, SDI helps necromancy.
Yes, poison strike and strangle are great against low poison resists.
And Mind Blast and Harm do cold damage.

aye necro would be the way to go , and yes SDI helps on the dmg of necro spells , ofc poison fields with decent poison skill would be of good use also
