[EM News] Player Towns: Recognition and Banners

Hail thee,

an important letter from our Lady Queen Dawn arrived this morning:

“Dear Citizens,

it is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that the crown will accept with immediate effect the recognition of towns and their banners. The name „town“ is used in my announcement here, but it is also representative for communities, auctions houses, player taverns and similar smaller establishments.

To ensure to have a smooth recognition of your town please obey the rules below:

1. Size (number of houses), facet and coordinates:
   • 1-4 Settlement
   • 5-10 Village/Hamlet
   • 11-20 Town
   • 21-30 City
   • 31+ Kingdom/Empire/City-State
   • Town recognitions are available for all facets.
   
   
2. Allegiance:
   Tell us where your loyalty lies: with the crown, against the crown or neutral. Your decision may have an influence on future events in the area of your town
   
   
3. Ambassadors:
   Persons who represents your town. Ideally this should be two, or even three individuals who can be contacted if necessary (see also 7, “Communication”)
   
   
4. Events:
   A town must offer regular/periodic and public events. This could be hunts, game events, meetings, tavern nights, auctions, tournaments or similar
   
   
5. Community:
   Show us which houses are connected together. It doesn’t matter if it’s the same town name on the house sign, a special colour or decoration
   
   
6. History:
   • Your town should provide some history.
   • Interested visitors should always be able to
   • inform themselves about your establishment
   
   
7. Communication:
   Your town should provide communication. Visitors should always be able to contact you or your establishment (barkeeper, message boards, mailboxes, books; but also through websites/forums)
   
   
8. Banners:
   Your town has to submit a banner. It should be max. 6×6 tiles big and should not block house placement around it.
   Please submit the following facts:
   
   • 1.suggested coordinates for the banner
   • 2.the model numbers and name for the items used in your banner:
   • 3.use only Inside UO for this. Choose category “Artwork”, then use the tab “Static Tiles”. You can also use single frames from the category “Animations”. There is an example of the town of Gyldenfeld, how to split up your submission into the necessary details
   • 4.a picture (format: JPG, PNG or GIF) of your banner

Note: The crown will have the final say if a banner is accepted or not. Banner inputs which were not accepted can be re-worked.

The submission of your town and banner have to be complete, otherwise the recognition would not be possible. The list (1-8) must be answered completely.

In the name of the crone and of whole Sosaria I will invite the interested towns and their ambassadors to have a discussion in the very near future.

Hallo zusammen,

Ein wichtiger Brief von unserer geschätzten Königin Dawn erreichte uns heute morgen:

“Liebe Bürger,

mit großer Freude gebe ich bekannt, dass die Krone von Sosaria ab sofort die Aufnahme von Städten und ihrer Banner akzeptiert. Der Ausdruck „Stadt“ soll hier auch für kleinere Gemeinschaften, Auktionshäuser, Spieler-Tavernen und ähnlichen Betrieben gültig sein.

Um eine möglichst unproblematische Aufnahme zu gewährleisten muss die Stadt folgende Bedingungen erfüllen:

1. Größe (Anzahl Häuser), Facette und Koordinaten:
   • 1-4 Siedlung
   • 5-10 Dorf
   • 11-20 Kleinstadt
   • 21-30 Großstadt
   • 31+ Imperium
   • Town recognitions are available for all facets.
   
   
2. Treue:
   Lasst uns wissen, wo eure Loyalität liegt: mit der Krone, gegen die Krone oder neutral. Eure Entscheidung kann Einfluss auf zukünftige Vorkommnisse in der Region euer Stadt haben.
   
   
3. Botschafter:
   Wer eure Stadt gegen außen hin vertritt. Im Idealfall zwei, oder auch sogar drei Personen, die kontaktiert werden können (siehe auch 7, „Kommunikation“).
   
   
4. Events:
   Eine Stadt muss regelmäßige und öffentliche Events veranstalten. Das können Treffen, Jagden, Spiele- oder Tavernenabende, Auktionen, Turniere o.ä. Events sein.
   
   
5. Gemeinschaft:
   Zeigt, welche Häuser zusammengehören, sei dies mit demselben Städte Namen im Hausschild, mit besonderen Farben oder Einrichtungen.
   
   
6. Geschichte:
   Eure Stadt sollte eure Geschichte erzählen. Interessierte Besucher sollten sich jederzeit über eure Einrichtung informieren können.
   
   
7. Kommunikation:
   Eure Stadt sollte kommunikativ sein. Besucher sollten sich jederzeit über eure Einrichtung informieren können (über Barkeeper, Anschlagbretter, Briefkästen, Bücher; aber auch per Website/Forum).
   
   
8. Banner:
   Eure Stadt muss ein Banner entwerfen. Dieses darf max. 6×6 Platten groß sein und mögliche Hausplätze nicht blockieren. Bitte sendet uns die folgenden Angaben:
   
   1. 1.die gewünschten Koordinaten des Banners
   2. 2.die Model Nummer und der Name der verwendeten Gegenstände im Banner:
   3. 3.benutzt ausschließlich Inside UO dafür. Wählt die Kategorie „Artwork“ aus, dann den Reiter „Static Tiles“. Ihr könnt auch einzelne Bilder aus der Kategorie „Animations“ verwenden. Ihr könnt das Beispiel der Stadt Gyldenfeld ansehen, um die notwendigen Details auszuarbeiten
   4. 4.ein Bild von eurem Banner (Format: JPG, PNG oder GIF

Hinweis: Die Krone hat in jedem Fall das letzte Wort ob ein Banner akzeptiert wird oder nicht. Nicht akzeptierte Eingaben können überarbeitet werden.

Die Eingabe zur Aufnahme eurer Stadt und eures Banners muss komplett erfolgen, ansonsten ist eine Anerkennung nicht möglich. Die Liste (1-8) muss vollständig beantwortet sein.

Im Namen der Krone von Sosaria werde ich in naher Zukunft die interessierten Städte bzw. deren Botschafter zu einem Gespräch einladen.
