Benton stood on the quarterdeck, his eyes taking in the scene around him. Much had changed since his last visit to Trinsic, and yet...things were as he remembered. A passenger on this voyage, the responsibilities as Captain fell to another allowing his mind to be free from the usual duties making port involved. From his earliest memories the sea had been more his home than land; it was given that he looked to the seas for his livelihood. As the ship drew nearer the pier his excitement grew, for this was to be his home. Below him the dock was bustling with activity, and he laughed to himself at the sight.

He suddenly snapped out of his daydream, slightly annoyed at himself for becoming distracted from matters at hand. 'There is much to do,' he thought to himself, 'and not much time.'

Benton made his way to the gangway, stopping only long enough to thank the vessels Captain for a swift and safe journey. Ashore he found the Harbor Master and made arrangements for his belongings to be delivered, and set off to await the dockers.

Recalling the directions given him and headed in to town; his destination should not be far. He had walked but a few steps when he saw his the building. His pace quickened.

The doors opened as he approached and he stepped aside to allow a woman to exit. 'Pretty sort,' he thought to himself. 'And she fishes, too!' He paused to introduce himself but again remembered he had a task to complete. 'Later..' he smiled. 'There will be time for introductions later.'

Benton set his pack on the table and rummaged inside until he found his quill and parchment. His brow furrowed as he penned....
