I just saw this on a vendor.Elixir of gold conversion.

How to get and how does it work?

IT comes from a quest in Ter Mer.

It converts a pile of 500 Dull Copper to gold ingots. There's also one for Agapite, and I think for Valorite, and one that will turn base iron randomly into DC, Shadow Iron, Copper, or Bronze.

Ironically the last quest is the one that's almost impossible to do.

500 ingots seems to be abit few ingots.

Or maybe the quest is so very easy to do and you can do it often?

I think the quests are in two or three tiers, based on the metal types, and that they have cool-down timers, that are longer, the higher the quests are.

This isn't necessary since Basara already mentioned it, but the elixirs and other quest rewards are on the "Items with Special Abilities" page.
Bottom of the page, section with "Quest Items" and there's an explanation of the elixirs, and a link to the quest page on how to get them.

I've done the quest cycles many a time and have almost a dozen of the 2 loweser tier elixirs, but everytime I get a nice store of Dull and/or Shadow, I also fortunately get PoF sbods PoF ingots are of more value to me than the gold or agapite
