[Lumberjacking] Does luck play a role in resource gathering?

I have a miner, lumberjack, whos sole purpose in this game is to do my bidding and collect ingots and logs. Would imbuing luck on his suit have any positive effect? Other than ridding the ground of some change mushrooms?
