A terrible thing has happened!
As a concerned citizen, Lady Jeanette*, was meandering through the Feluccan forests southeast of Wrong, she came across the castle of her beloved friend and confidante, Nicholas the Old. Thinking that she would endeavour to make the world a slightly better place by offering him some patentedly delectable Girl Scout cookies, she admitted herself to the premises... only to find the study engulfed by flames!

The good Lady, being an expert on fires and flames of every size and shape, diagnosed the inferno as having been caused by a torch placed too close to the curtains. She was adamant that it was not, in fact, caused by a Greater Conflagration potion tossed into the study by a vandal.
Jeanette, whose real identity will not be published because she feels that to do so would eclipse the news of this terrible crime, is now seeking to make sure that all members of the family (variously known as Tarrant, The Old, and Goodfellow) are safe. No property was damaged in the blaze, although a passing sheep suffered a panic attack and the emotional scars inflicted on Lady Jeanette may take years to heal.
If you are or know of The Old or his elven wife, please report to the authorities.
