I just hit 100% and its given me the option to add skills, anyone got any tips for me to make it as strong as it can be?

Ps. When people are training there pets on a boss for the gains maybe don't interfere being an annoying idiot.
Clearly some people have no lives and like to try and ruin UO for others.

You could copy your char to tc and experiment with it and once you know what you want, do it to your real pet on your home shard but ultimately its probably best to build it with a certain encounters or purpose in mind.

My plan is:
3to4 slot upgrade - boost resists, add regens, maximize dex/stamina, scroll existing skills, rest in str and hp, train skills.
4to5 slot upgrade - boost DPS, add new abilities, scroll new skills, leave some points for final tuning.

The thing I haven't figured out yet is does healing count as an ability for the Cu? The wiki says a pet can have a maximum of 3 abilities. I'm assuming that Bleed counts as a special move. Does healing count as a magical ability or special ability, or maybe it doesn't count as an ability at all? I'm assuming it wouldn't be an area effect or special move.

If anyone has already figured this out, I would love to know.

On mine i was able to add 1 magic ability (chiv) and 1 special move (ai) and it was full on abilities. The special move could have been used on an aoe or special ability instead.

You can add two more abilities on Cu

 

[Cetric]

I fully scrolled out a cu and gave it poisoning and venomous bite. We'll see how it looks. I have another that I've fully scrolled and in training, haven't decided on the two abilities to add yet. Kind of waiting to see what ends up being good

my plan for my cu is healing 115, anat 115, chiv 110 and steal life. My plan is that for mobs I can't stay close enough to vet she'll be ok with just my no eval cast heals to help her out.

I'm tempted to throw chiv on mine too but haven't decided. Definitely plan on putting as many points as possible into physical and fire resists, maxing base damage, then after that no idea.

 

[Merus]

For my Blaze I trained him up to 5 slot and I went with 120 wrestle, tactics, anat and med. 80 in all resists except poison. 900 hp, 150 stam, 600 mana. 20 HPR 10 MR. Added AI and Chiv.

Still got some skill training to finish off, but he turned out pretty beast. Happy that he can finally be used to hunt!
