EM Announcement [Councul Du Roi] 17th January at 8pm GMT

The second meeting of the Council is set for Friday 17th at 8pm GMT in the Castle Blackthorn meeting room.

There was just no way he could accede to this! Blackthorn looked at his records again, and although he appreciated the truly naked honesty with which the request had been made, enslaving the citizen's of Vesper to build Skara Brae a new docks was just not something that could ever be allowed. Something had to be done to explain the practicalities of Government to the headstrong former Lord Protector known as Alaster The Mad. But what? Something unforgettable, certainly.

And then there was the question of Trinsic. The Governor of that City hadn't even turned up, and it's populace was restless for representation. An official notification of royal displeasure would need to be made, but after that? Blackthorn was certainly no dictator, but more was at stake than honouring a result for an absentee. Still, the King was hoping desperately he would not need to invoke his privileges and the Governor would take their election seriously...

However, there was perhaps much to look forward too as well. Many of the other cities seemed to be engaged in constructive acts of their own, and hopefully the Royal Architects would have an answer on some of the design plans put forward by then. If nothing else, Blackthorn always looked forward to just conversing with his people and seeing what ideas they had. Yes, the second meeting of the Council Du Roi promised to be... Interesting at least!

Oh, and what else was there? The matter of relations with the Goblins, and that cheeky fellow Snox; Blackthorn stroked his chin, "not a matter to discuss with the Council as yet" he thought, "but again, action must be taken!" Signing with a bold flourish the Council summons proclamation, he turned and reached for something else...

I have been informed our Britain Governor Aurelius has some internet gremlins and may be unable to attend tonights event. They have gave him no ETA of a fix.

Thanks to Mapper for passing on word (good thing I had another way to contact him!) - but after 7 hours downtime, it looks like Virgin Media have got the systems working again round here so with a little luck I'll make it to the meeting, unless they break it again between now and 8!
