Drachenfels has been doing a weekly thing called Week-End Madness. It is a great pun on a week in review type report. Players submit pictures and video to their news manager and a brief review of what they did during the week. You can find an example here: http://uo2.stratics.com/posts/38106
I would like to start that here on Chessy. I would like for players to submit a brief summary of an event that they participated in along with some screenshots or video via PM to me. It can be a player made event (like a dungeon crawl, Auction, or a dart tournament), an EM event or HoC, a PvP event (EM, tournament/challenge, or just a larger than normal battle). There are normally a lot of events that go unreported and unnoticed by others. This is a great way to have more people get involved in-game and on the forums.
I would also like to do a Week in Advance type thing where players submit via PM a time, location, and event with a brief summary (if it is open to the public anyways) so that players can see what is coming up and try to adjust their schedule. I know there are a lot of things such as the bi-weekly auction, Minoc hosts a lot of events, Pitmuck and Paxlair host a lot of events, there is even a joint Paxlair/EVI Alliance Event in the near future. PvP can also submit PvP events or even challenges within reason.
I am open for ideas and suggestions. I am open to anything that will draw more players onto Chessy, in-game, and on the forums. Chessy has an awesome community and I would like to see it grow. Our reports are on a hiatus right now so help me keep everyone informed! Feel free to PM me with ideas, suggestions, questions, or to discuss something that happened or is upcoming!
We also need to come up with names for the Week in Review and Week in Advance threads. Please keep it family friendly.
