I know of at least 10 people at the event who did not get the item. I highly doubt that it was an all drop.

if those people actually got looting rights on the boss and they didnt get one then it was not an all drop, just seemed like an all drop with all that popped for sale so quickly and many people claiming they did get one.

I'm confident it was an everyone drop or a higher than usual numbered drop. Very nice item for an everyone drop although I'll admit I don't quite fully understand the name.

i dunno if it was meant to be "santa's magic baubles" since the elves were calling them baubles, but they were misspelling almost everything they said anyways so who knows

At and after the event, Dross specifically said it wasn't an everyone drop. He said only folks on the damage list had a chance to get them. No counts given, though, per normal Chessie EM policy. I'd guess, though, that it was somewhere in the 20, maybe 30, range, but no higher.

Yeah, after the Vase of hot Djinn Spirt earlier in the week, I think it's safe to say that spellchecking is not an EM priority....

it certainly isnt the highest attackers list that got this drop, just anyone with rights. i was on a weak geared sampire with a soulseeker, hit it maybe 3 times and then died, then crashed, and when i reloaded and rezzed up it died but i got the drop. i was astonished i got looting rights from that though, since there have been events where i did far more and didnt.

I got the drop last night too, but some aren't going to like how I got it....70's suit of armor, I dropped a poison field on the boss, it called me in, killed me....I got rezzed by a friend, my poison field still active, got pulled in, died. Rezzed by my friend, poison field active, I died again. Shortly after, boss was dead and I had a message I had something in my backpack. COOLEST drop ever for me! No luck. No other spells cast. No pets. Woo hoo!

nice job in my experience such a tactic wouldn't do enough damage to constitute looting rights, glad to see it worked for you. i've literally sat on my archer and fought a boss on GL for about 10 mins without dying, firing on him the whole time and didnt get looting rights. granted i was using a magical shortbow and with consecrate i was only doing 10-20 damage a hit, but over that period of time i expected to get rights but didnt.

he means by top attacker looting rights. people got this on "noob" characters

it depends on boss. ask flutter, shes gotten 1 bil drops on naked characters with no skills (and i hate her for it )

He also said the cutlasses were Not intentional, when mesanna confirmed he specifically asked for them to be unequipable.

Personally i think its spelled wrong. it said "Baubles" on the shield.

well - like a smarty pants - i was training wrestling skill on a spider in luna on atl while both events happened last night (go figure)
