Change to creating Magical Jewelry?

I just created 12 Dark Sapphire Bracelets. 10 had 10 Cold resist and 2 had Mana regen +2. None of the 12 had any other properties. Now I'm not complaining, since I really wanted clean Mana Regen bracelets, but I don't ever remember getting just "clean" bracelets. Haven't crafted anything else yet.

I burned about 5000 ingots the other night, got about the same results.. 5% of my pieces were clean 2MR, rest were clean 10cold, nothing extra.

Just did Turquoise Rings, 20 with just DI 15 and 3 with just SS+5. I like the change but don't recall reading anything about it.

By removing the "random extra properties" they made these craft-able ones much more useful. Clean Ecru Citrine Ring - Enhance Pots 50%, etc...
