Can I refine an artifact?

That's not fair, how come you can take it off the Gladiator's collar but you can't put it on the Jackal's Collar?

The mage armor property can't be added to any artifacts, but it can be removed.

"Mage armor has been removed from imbuing, reforging, and enhancing. Armor now can be converted to and from Mage Armor by paying a Mage guild master 250,000 gold. Applying mage armor is still subject to the armor not having more than four properties or not being an artifact. Mage Armor now has an imbuing weight of zero."

Another question. Once i have refined an item, can i upgrade with another reinement or remove the old one?
E.g 1st refinement protection and i want to refine with invulnerability

Sure. Applying a refinement erases whatever has previously been done. Unfortunately we can't stack refinements, e.g. five Defense, but you can always apply a better one.

I think you can do opposite refinement. For example, if you refined an item with -5 DCI you can refine it with -1 DCI then refine an other item with +1 DCI.
(But I haven't tested myself that I can refine one item several times)
