Brokering by SupSoc

I just wanted to share a little personal story with y'all. Yesterday i was moving house, and retained the services of SupSoc as a broker.

Through my own stupid fault, I "demolished" my old house before i took possession of the new one (I forgot the proper order to do it in for it to decay over a few days).

Needless to say all my stuff hit the ground and was ripe for the taking.

At this point, SupSoc, and also the person i was buying from came running over with beetles and helped me grab all of my stuff and move it to the new house. Without their help, it would have been impossible much would have decayed, or been stolen. with their help, i lost nothing. Supsoc even placed a new house for me in that spot and offered to sell it for me.

For this service, SupSoc asked for nothing, no money.

I must say I am indebted to him and his service, and I just wanted everyone to know that he is a first class, trustworthy broker if you are ever looking for someone to help you.

Im fairly sure the powers that be have not yet come across this post, as it is clearly an attempt to drum up business for someone. I have heard many good things about the person you are referring to, thats not the issue. This just isnt the place to be telling your "story".

To me it looks like he's thanking someone for helping him out. I don't see how that's advertising or why this would be the wrong forum. Perhaps it was Atlantic where this took place.

It did happen on Atlantic, thats why i posted it here. I am dissapointed in your attitude to my story. i know nothing about him before my transaction. I am merely reporting on what happened and thanking him. i was paid nothing for this.

Man, you are indeed lucky. Imo there are alot of folks that would show up with beetles and packies, although they would help you take it to the new place.

In all seriousness tho, for the bad rap Atlantic gets on occasion, there are still ALOT of good, decent folk on the shard.

For the amount of threads Ive seen over the years that have been moved to other more "appropriate" areas I have nothing to do but shrug at the mods responses. But then it seems to point to who is friends with whom in game (or out) in my opinion that some people's threads and names discussed within are more of a flag than others. *shrugs*

Glad to see people helping each other out. As this game gets smaller and smaller its important to treat each other with respect. I know a lot of young players that if they lost everything in a situation like that would of just quit the game. Leaving the community one more down. Atlantic has good people, this shows that.

Wait do people charge for being a broker? I havn't done any of that for years but never charged for it, just figured people asked for a nuetral party that both could trust so less goes wrong. Still don't think I would ever charge for helping someone....

I can see how you would think it is an advertisement, perhaps the only thing wrong with the thread was the title. It might have been better to Name the thread something like *Honor on Atlantic a Dieing Virtue* As for this not being the place to put this thread ...this is Atlantic Forum is it not?

In any case He is simply thanking someone who helped on a shard that at times seems filled with nothing but greed. Good Job Supsoc I for one am glad there are still people like you in the game.

SupSoc is liget! I would trust him with all my 12+ years of US stuff! And no Draken-Korin I did not get paid to post this! It is just the hard truth that there are still some trustworthy people who play UO.
