Wyrxian on the official forums recently made this post about the beta keys that were handed out during Blizzcon 2007 and Worldwide Invitational in 2008 are for the Wrath of the Lich King beta.
However, he doesn't say this, but it appears pretty clear that while they guarantee you a spot to get into the beta, that doesn't really mean you're getting in the beta right this instant, it just guarantees you a spot sometime during the process.

attended the 2008 Worldwide Invitational or the 2007 BlizzCon. These
codes are going to be used for the Wrath of the Lich King beta test.
If you do have a beta code from one of these events, we urge
you to register it immediately and without delay. Full details on how
