The Order of Cheese has been established on Lake Austin. It is designed to be a guild of mature players whose goal is to have fun. Fun for such people might include champion spawns, the guantlet, hanging out, or causing cheesey mischief. We are in many ways a fraternity. The Order of Cheese is centered around The Power of Cheese. No not the commercial. That quintisential undefinable quality that forces you to smile for camera's or wear a dorky green shirt for Saint Patrick's Day. The Power to do silly things that will make other people smile and perhaps brighten their UO day.

The Order of Cheese is an honorable institution. We do not do anything that would cause other people to lose their cheesy grin. We attempt to help other people have fun and enjoy themselves just as we do.

Joining the Order.

To join the Order of Cheese you must have the sponsorship of at least one full member. If you do not know anyone within the order, you must attend one guildhunt. Assuming that everything goes well you will be added to the stone with the title of Velveeta. As you know Velveeta isn't really cheese. After two weeks or two attended guild events whichever should occur first, the guild will vote on your membership. You must receive 80% of approval votes from full members before being allowed into the guild. The GM reserves the right to shorten or waive these requirements at her whim.

Rules and Regulations

First and foremost, all members must recognize The Power of Cheese. To this end all members, upon their initiation to the guild will be presented with a wedge of cheese. This wedge of cheese is to be kept on your person at all times. If asked by a fellow member to 'see the cheese' You must present the cheese wedge immediately or face dire consequences. Should you die and not be able to recover your cheese wedge you will have thirty minutes to acquire a new one.

We do not condone the killing of innocent players. There is a distinct and marked difference between pvp and Pk. Pvp is fun and adds cheese to a situation. Pking is strictly for the lactose intolerant and is prohibited(except in situations such as script mining).

In accordance with the above we do not condone the griefing or scamming of fellow players in any situation. It is expected that members of the Order of Cheese hold themselves to the highest of Cheesy standards. Remember all it takes is one person to bring down the reputation of an entire guild. One bad cheese molds the rest.

There will be a guild meeting held once a week at a set date and time. We are aware that scheduling may be an issue. However, it is asked that you make every effort to attend guild meetings. Failure to attend guild meetings without a proper excuse is unacceptable. This will not be a guild filled with inactive members.

Should a fellow member need assistance you will immediately go to their aid. The Order of Cheese is not a guild of cowards!

On Champion Spawns--

When a group gathers to do a spawn, a leader will be voted upon by all full members present. The leaders decisions regarding the spawn are to be followed to the letter.

We are not a guild of spawn thiefs or crashers. Should you be raided by all means fight back, but do not attempt to steal another guilds spawn. This is LA there are plenty of unused spawning areas. This decision will be made by the elected leader.

After the champ has been killed the leader will collect all scrolls immediately and return to the GH with them. The skull from the champion will go to the guild. The gold and or loot from the spawn are for whomever wishes to risk it and pick it up. All members who attended the spawn will then return to the GH. All scrolls from the spawn will be presented and rolled for. The highest roll gets the first pick of the scrolls and so forth. Any deviation from this will result in an immediate banishment from the society.

Consequences-

Should someone break any of the above rules it will be brought up at the next guild meeting. Both sides will present their cases and the guild will decide their guilt or innocence by a vote from all full members. The punishment will be determined by the GM. Should a situation arise in which a decision needs to be made immediately(such as someone has stolen items from the guildhouse), the matter will be sent to the GM who will remove the player from the stone. The player will have their chance to prove their innocence at the next meeting.

Punishments for offenses may include:

Being forced to wear 'The robe of the tainted cheese' and having your title changed to 'stinky cheese' for one week.
