Mabel looked around in anticipation . She was new to the area, and really looking forward to getting to know the locals. She had heard many would be converging in the local hall at a specific time, and figured it would be the best opportunity to introduce herself.
She wasn't sure what her role would be yet. In the last area she lived in, the locals called her "Mad Mabel". She said she could speak to the animals, and they spoke back! For the longest time, no one believed her. Once they heard for themselves, they were a bit more... fearful of her. Some called her a witch, some called her a daemon. Mabel was neither. She did possess magic, but used it for good. She hoped the greeting would be one of mutual understanding and friendship.
She looked down at her attire, and realized what she was wearing simply would not do. She wanted to look her best. First impressions were VERY important.
