Lady Alira Drakrul is conducting interviews for an editor-in-chief for the publication of a Yew based newspaper, "The Yew Times".

- Applicant should be a creative, intelligent, educated and self-motivated individual. Those with previous scribe or journalism experience preferred.
- Must be a resident and a voting citizen of Yew. If the hired individual does not currently live in Yew, moving expenses may be negotiated prior to hiring.
- The editor-in-chief is required to publish the newpaper at least once monthly with significant, news worthy content. The publications should focus on news primarily that pertains to or affects Yew. Important global matters are allowed.
- The Newspaper will have a guaranteed monthly stipend of 25,000gp to start with future increases negotiable with proven success. There will also be additional compensation for publication of special issues that provide dedicated coverage of very important events.

If your resume is acceptable, she will contact you with available times for an interview. Her home is located a short walk southeast of Empath Abbey at map coordinates 71o 17'N, 41o 50'W

- The character must be able to vote in the elections and be a citizen of Yew. They must maintain this eligibility to vote and citizenship to the city of Yew throughout the entire duration of their position as editor.
- The editor must have a residence in or near Yew. It must be held throughout entire length of employment. The editor's residence must have at least one floor of the house dedicated to the newspaper. It may include a private residence for the editor and their family as well. A bulletin board and mailbox should be used as well as ICQ for people to contact.
- If no placed home is possible, an unclaimed NPC town home may serve as the newpaper's front. Since these contain no bulletin boards nor ways to lock down method to contact you, You (or a member of your staff) will be required to be available the for at least 30 mins at reasonable shard hours (evenings EST) for drop in rp once every other week at the location as well as any scheduled meetings privately. Schedule of this should be posted per month on stratics as well as city of yew forum.
- All staff hired by editor must meet the same voting and citizenship requirements as the editor. They do not require a confirmed residence in Yew, but are encouraged to live in or near the city.
- Neither the editor or any staff may be ic a governor or running for the governor position. They may not have alt characters that are a governor. I want "power to be spread out in the world and to encourage diversity in the rp community and not the same leaders in just multiple guilds.

- The editor is strongly encouraged to use a small portion of the newspaper to help cover the operating costs of the newspaper including paid advertisements and classified ads. The sale of privately delivered newspaper subscriptions is also encouraged.
- You are encouraged to use ad revenue and/or your stipend to hire additional journalists and sketch artists. Such hiring will be solely at the discretion of the editor. Staff should be encouraged to take over "portions" of the newspaper, such promotions or assignments is solely at the discretion of the editor.
- Newspaper can contain Local News, world news, trivia, classified (let your imagination soar!) for sale, lost found, personals (looking for love), advertisements, announcements of events or weddings, etc, Dear ___ letters, weather, politics, new discoveries, who's who in Yew, recipes, comics, etc. Obviously not all of these will be able to fit in one edition, so can be cycled as long as the paper contains a nice variety and a significant amount of actual news.
- The newspaper issues will be required to be posted on the City of Yew forums and Stratics. Posting it elsewhere is allowed and encouraged, but not required. Rply selling in-game copies on a street corner or deliveries to those with personal subscriptions is encouraged to facilitate and encourage rp between rpers and the staff.
- You and any staff may join "The City of Yew [Yew.]" guild with titles of your choice as long as they are rp in nature such as Yew Times Editor. You may have a set of private forums on the City of Yew forums where you will group access to your forums as well as moderating abilities within your forum.
