controlling a tamed beetle

Hi, I was wondering if I train a giant beetle up will I still be able to control them on my lumberjack/miner, thanks

Others can chime in but I don’t think so, or maybe one round of training at most?

No. You won't be able to push the button for training on a non tamer.

No. You can not give a trained one to them.

My lj/miner is a tamer.
Taming, lore, vet, mage lj, mining, imbuing.

He rides a fully trained blue and fire beetle. its overkill but i love it

My Prospector (LJ/Mining/Fishing) uses a fully skill trained 1 slot Giant Beetle, fully skill trained 1 slot Fire Beetle, and a fully skill trained leveled pre-patch Magery+AI Vollem (leveled from 2 to 3 slots) as he gathers. The Vollem alone can take out almost anything he encounters while gathering in the wild, including Krakens.

Vollems are different because they spawn with a negative taming req, so can be controlled by anyone. New ones spawn as 3 slot now, but are basically nightmares.

Yeah, my Prospector chars on Atlantic and Napa both use a leveled pre-patch Vollem. Only way they can have a Giant Beetle, Fire Beetle, and leveled Vollem out at the same time is if the Vollem is pre-patch.
My dexxers though have modern leveled (3-4) Vollems with 120 Disco+AP. They can still ride a Swampy with a 4 slot Vollem out.
