Just come back to UO recently, I understand Atlantic is more active/higher population but I was all Catskills in years gone past and am wondering if there is enough play here to make make it my home once again. Thank you all in advance for replies.

Welcome back :), if your heavy into Role Playing then Catskills is definitely your shard. There's weekly tavern nights and lots of helpful people, but population is small compared to Atlantic... depends on what your looking for really

While I have and can fit into RP I like the combat (PVM as well as PVP) and challenges the big bosses and hard to get to places offer RP, for me, would be more of a side line. Catskills used to be pretty heavy, population wise I left when that suddenly took a nose dive.

I recently came onto Catskills for the awsome rp community. But as for population there is a huge difference in regards to the amount of people playing through out the day. Also you guys have a huge amount of open spaces for houses as Atlantic has very little but most can play a small house easy if you don't mind a small house. But honestly Catskills has a friendlier group of people than Atlantic does. People will bend over backwards here to help you but on Atlantic you get called names or just ignored. Only thing I'd like to see more on Catskills is more items in vendor search. Certain things are rather hard to find.

I agree with the above, Catskills is a very welcoming place with a nice community. As for play-styles, I think you'll find that a lot of dedicated role-players are engaged in the PvM and RP-themed PvP activities (though the latter is often population dependent). So it's not necessarily a choice between one play-style or the other either. Hope you consider sticking around here!

Don't let the secret out. I like it low key. Plenty to do without being crowded. :p

Welcome back. We do have a nice RP community on cats, and it is not just RP that we get into. Now most of what we do springs from RP, but we have been known to sally forth to hunt down and kill major mobs. I have not been a part of the pvp scene here for many years, but we do have our RPvP. I think the best thing Cats has going for her though it her people and laid back style.
