Most of the US = Color
Parts of the US = Colour
Europe = Colour

Both spellings are correct, just depends on where you are at or from.

Sorry, but it came from Latin, then to the French, onwards to the English and finally adopted as "color" by Americans. But then, the British claimed ownership for a lot of things that weren't theirs.
