Zoo Spawn Update

As many of you may have noticed, I have been absent from the game as of late. I still come into game to run my guild, and have been available via ICQ or Ventrilo should anyone need me, but I have not been organizing Zoo Spawns.

Today I gave Anne & Buck the 40m I had put aside for the next Zoo Raffle, so ensure that the tradition of donation continues in my absence. They will be setting up a Zoo Vendor at one of their homes.

I'm not gone from UO for good, but I felt that while I'm away things ought to continue as they should.

We have set up a vendor devoted entirely to the zoo outside the MOP shop in east Luna. We donated the 40 mil to the zoo on the Fel side as it was needed much more there at this time. We then filled the vendor with a variety of items purchased with the points that we received from the 40 mil donation. If anyone has any special requests and/or questions for future puchases, please feel free to contact Buck or Antoinette via PM, ICQ, the Bulletin Board at the house, or this thread. We also put a bag filled with runes to the Trammel Zoo on the bottom side of the vendor. Puchasing these runes will help in keeping that vendor up and running.

As the items are bought off the vendor, we will then take that money and donate it back to the zoo. With the points received from that donation, we will purchase other items and continue to place them on that vendor. This will be an on-going process.

As a side note, if anyone is planning on making and donations directly to the zoo at this time, the Fel side could use some love.

Just a quick update: After placing the vendor late yesterday afternoon, it made 15 mil, which was reinvested last night to the Fel zoo for more items to place on it. So far today, it has made 32 mil, which has also already been reinvested in the Fel zoo for more items.

How do you glitch a vendor out of your house, I was in Luna and ran smack into a zoo vendor sitting in the middle of the road.

If a vendor owner is standing outside the house and opens the vendors pack it will jump to the location it's owner was standing (within a certain number of tiles from the house). If the owner forgets to return the vendor using the context menu the vendor will stand there for 2 minutes before they automatically go back to their spot on the house.

Although Black Sun is absolutely correct in how a vendor will travel with the owner and eventually pop back, that isnt the case here. The zoo vendor is in our house, however, it was placed using goza mats to give the appearance of being in the road for higher visibility to benefit the zoo. This is not an original idea, it is done all the time. The vendors down the street from our house are a perfect example.

Oh, that old trick.
I didn't even think about that. Those vendors down the road that you're talking about give me the creeps. I always feel like they're lining up to beat down anyone who's foolish enough to run between their lines.
