I've heard praises of the bokuto before for the use of the Feint attack. I haven't really experimented with Feint yet, but what about Nerve Strike? I am using a sampire, and being able to freeze your opponent for 3-5 seconds while you use the weapon's very fast speed to recover stamina/mana/hp seems like it would compensate for the lower initial damage output.

So what are your opinions on spamming Nerve Strike with a properly modded bokuto on a sampire? What bosses (peerless or otherwise) would it be effective against?

The reason i ask is because i have several exceptional bokutos with DI on it ready to go, but my imbuer isn't fully trained yet so i can't experiment with actual sampire bokutos yet.

All opinions welcome. Thanks!

Nerve strike has no place with a sampire in PvM. The damage you get from it is too low. There are other things you should be doing. Lightning strike or armor ignore is one example.

Feint is very useful, but if you wanted to use feint I would recommend a leafblade because the DPS is much better.

This is what i was afraid of. A leafblade for me would require UBW Skill as i am a swordsmen. Even though you are probably right, temptation is going to get the better of me and I'm still gonna try it out. I'm thinking my first attempt will be to clear out the Crimson Veins Mini champ with a more traditional weapon then once the champ appears try out the slayer/imbued bokuto. Yes it puts out low damage, but the enemy is frozen and the weapon is SO fast. Perhaps you will prove me wrong though. Time will tell.

You can buy a few bronze hammers (3 mods) and burn them on Leafeblades of ease...your garrantied to get 40 DI and UBWS so all you gotta burn is high mana leech and some ssi...could get a leafblade like that with just a bronze way more powerful than an imbued one. I think you also get 30 charges on bronze (maybe 35) if you just get 2 or 3 hammers you could very easily make a super powerful one.
