Now thats a warm welcome back! After being gone since 2005, my RL buddy who got me into UO back in 99, convinced me to reactivate my acct(s). After a week of Tramming it up on Lake Austin, I dropped into Siege to get the feel back for what UO was really like.

I wasnt disappointed I missed Siege so much that I pulled up the keep on Lake Austin and found a nice little spot just outside Zento on the road. Pretty quiet up that way. Spent the nite mining and chopping trees. My old Siege toon was going to be a crafter and has Smithing, Tink and Carpentry around 80. Mining and LJ not far behind.

So my question is, if I were to throw up a vendor, what items are most in demand? I am not trying to be the next great vendor mall, just want some gold income while I train up this one and the new toon on my 2nd acct.

Items from your Mining and Lumberjacking should be iron ingots, gems, hugh
gems, and normal wood planks. All these items now used learning Imbuing skill.
Oh, ppl would buy low-level jewelry, weapons, and armour pieces provided not
too expensive.

Don't go sellin those ecru citrines or other gems, till ya look at the sticky above and some SA values for some other gems....

to get the updated prices before ya sell them.

I would hate for ya to get gyped ya know.

Thanks for the offer of the hatchets! I made a serious run at crafting on siege back in the day, but it was around the time I first left. But I did it smart and became self sufficient in tinkering, smithing, tailoring and carpenty... the problem is I couldnt kill a great hart if my life depended on it Somewhere along the line I amassed enough gold to drop a 12x8 2story.

Other problem is I am not GM anything yet. If I understand the whole gem thing, you have to be GM mining to get them. Tons of changes since 2005, but I think Siege is closer to what I remember than the other production shards.

When I start haulin in the good loot, I will check around for going prices and even call up my old friend from Chessy days, QueenZen!

Yeh talk about some OLD names from UO elsewhere & ages ago !!

Aye once ya gm you will get all that stuff of course.

My 2 homes on Siege, are by Skara Brae and on Ocllo.

I never lucked out to get a home on Ocllo back in the day on Chesapeake
cuz at that time 98, all the Ocllo house spots were all full up over there. Soo I have an Ocllo home, here, works for me.

What I ususally do for chopping trees is if some monster I kill has an axe or hatchet I use it for chopping trees. Usually they arent any good for fighting but sure do cut trees. And they are free.

haha Even I do that with GM tinkering. Them silly lil tokono orcs in the sand during the tokono event, always sport axes as orcys do, and well the price was right FREE !

Hey did you ever find the Gargish beds ? They are in the stone mason menu
100 stones GAH ....... 100 wood but one can make them even without SA I believe. I am gonna try soon as I get 100 stones matching, cuz those big beds are cool.
