What was the best item you have ever purchased in game? Was it an uber weapon for dirt cheap? Was it that one rare item that you needed to complete a collection? Was it the one BOD you needed to complete the large for a val hammer? Could be anything =).

Mine was about 4 years ago... a jug of Mistas Cider, which is an old rare item.. (green jug of booze). Was for sale in a bulk bag of assorted semi-rare foodstuffs for 500k. Just saw one go on the rares forum for 55m. But I like the EM booze, so its mine =)

Pure value would have to be a double axe of force that my budding swordsman bought for 300 gold. It was 1998, when a lich was not an easy beastie for anyone and gave only about 100 gold. Cutting up orcs returned my money pretty quickly. Then a guild showed up, saw a corpse of someone who'd died to the spawn (I couldn't res), then ganked me far more for my stuff than supposedly PKing that guy.

Found a 120 Magery scroll for 2.2M and a Mysticism 120 for 700k a couple years ago on the same vendor. I think someone forgot a 0. Oh well, my gain lol.

Paid $50 for an account with house on Ebay many years ago.
It was a beta seer account that was paid in full until 2030 and the house was the closest one to yew gate in fel. I immediately sold the house for 3x the price I paid for the whole account and I still own the account. Although its comp'd status is under review by good old Mesanna. Apparently she is very busy atm
Either way the 10 years I played it so far for free added up to about a $1400 value so I am not complaining.
Just wish it shook out differently as I know the only reason it ever came under review is the damn account management overhaul which caused it to also become lost and unplayable for a short while. Among all the other disgusting issues that overhaul caused lol.

years ago i got a new neighbor in game.
was out talking to him and he asked if i was interested in selling my large tower.
i asked why, he was in a guild they where wanting to take over the entire area (back in the days when guilds did that kinda thing)
i said no, id had that tower for a while and liked it.
couple days later i run into the fella and he introduces me to a guild mate of his who just had to have my place.
i told him i couldnt part with it.
he offered me a castle in trade.
this was back in the days when casltes where selling for big bucks on ebay.
i didnt believe him so i said sure, you hand me the castle first and ill do it.
he did.
so i did.
have had that castle ever since, found out shortly after i got the castle that the fella that i got it from did in fact buy it on ebay for over $2000 so i was shocked.

My best buy was probably a 15th anniversary robe the day they came out, the guy sold it to me for 150 million, then about 2 hours later someone approached me in luna bank and offerred 2.8 billion, he really loved it, I even told him what I paid for it before he bought it. I guess he just had to have it that second. fastest money ever.

When I first started on Siege, a kind soul offered to sell me a fire beetle for 10 gp. I had no money so I accepted and was very thankful. Years later, I still have this beetle and he happily smelts all my ore.

My best buy, was my Luna house. Payed 20 mill for it, back in 03' or 04' sold it in 06' for $200. It was a smaller plot SW corner Luna.
