Young Players placing houses.

I was under the impression young players and trial accounts could not place houses. During the last few days I was at many IDOC's. At the castles inparticular there were young players placing house after house, and in some cases placing multiple houses at a time with the same char (upon placement of second house first one went into decay).

I am surely confused on how young trial accounts are placing houses, and how they are placing multiple houses instead of being locked out for 7 days.

These players are usign this to grief everyone that is trying to place at the IDOCs.

you can be young and have an active account that's eligable for a house

If the account is paid for, and still young I think the only semi bothersome restrictions are no Fel, and they can't be traded mounts or pets. I could be missing a couple. I never tried taking a young account into the stygian abyss Fel rule areas though, but I'm almost certain they wouldn't be able to go in those either.

Yep Young Status stays on for [X] number of hours and skill points, not days your account is active.

If a young is paying for his account, be it a true young or a vet, then what's the problem with him placing? Trials can't place anyway, so that's no bother.

Here's what I fail to understand..... Ok we go to X IDOC and 2 or 3 idiots always place a plot nearby .... Often it's the same 2 or 3 idiots.......

But on GL's there has to be at LEAST 15 to 20 people or more at every one of these IDOC's.... what I've noticed so far is with that many people all running about with 2 or more Pack animals.... there isn't enough loot in the joint to justify having a plot nearby unless the only thing your putting there is resource loot that typically weights in the 100,000's of stones.

Anything else ie most the valuable stuff is carted off almost before it hits the ground. So what exactly is the point on wasting money and all on a plot if almost nothing is ever going to be put there?

they get that money back when they demolish it. you can move packs that have more items than your pack animal or backpack can currently hold by just running with it in your mouse cursor. So a chest with 125 items and low weight is perfect for those houses.

Just saying that at every IDOC I've been at you wouldn't have time to run anything anywhere because once the house falls it's literally an empty plot in less than 3 seconds.

Maybe on your shard. I did a 10am IDOC on Friday on Catskills and made three trips back to my house to unload. I only brought my beetle because I thought I would never get enough loot to need other pack animals...but with that time of day and so many houses falling, I got lucky....well, except the house didn't really have anything great. :p Still, think only three of us were watching this house, and one more showed up after it fell.

Probably because they are all over on my shard...

"Young Status" doesn't mean it's a trial account, it means it's a new account, or someone who has made a character on a "new" account and hasn't played that specific character since the "young" tag has been on that specific character.

Also, a house isn't placed Until the house sign appears as a freshly placed plot, you can hit cancel on the gump that pops up, asking you if you're sure you want to place. if you cancel it, you can replace again without a 7 day delay period since the placement isn't "finalized".

Just pay attention to the house sign, if it's not there, the house will likely fall again and be replaced by someone else/same person on another account. =X

Even if it was a paid for new account, the same player placed at least three houses. After placing each house the player transfered it to another player then went to build a new one. I was watching the house signs. I was even watching the char placing them to see if it was multiple people with same name, but it was the same person running to each spot to place then trade.

I player places a house he cannot place another house for 7 days. only way the player can place again before the 7 days is when he drops the house or gives it away. Also a player has a house transfered to them they have to wait the 7 days to place again on that account. So long as the player doesn't accept a house he can demolish and place all he wants.
Not sure about this the resizing part, I think once you resize you have to wait the 7 days.

There is a way to place 2 loot houses on the same char, the Dev's never picked up on it, oh and those that know won't report it ;)

Errrrr .....any account can keep placeing and demolishing....its possible to place many houses per day as long as the last was is demoilshed.....so in effect if a idocer wanted to place a small next to each faller throgh the days timeline .....he could quite possibly place 20 odd fresh plots ..dropping them and replaceing them throughout the day.. THIS IS NOT NEW!!

As long as you have only one house and demolish it before placing the next one, there is no penalty.
If you don't have a house, you are not asked, if you wish to place - you have no direct option to try. If you test place, the plot is there. If you demolish it and place it again, you get an one hour timer for demolishing it again.
MalagAste, why do you blame these people idiots, if they are smarter than you (although they may be annoying, agreed).
