You must be the owner or originally placed...

Hello - I had a house transfered to me and the original owner left two 4th year vet items locked down in the house. He asked for them back and I was happy to oblige. The problem is that when I try to redeed them I get the message that I must be the house owner OR the person who originally placed the item. I made the old house owner a co-owner and they would not redeed for him either. Is there a trick to this? I am the new owner and it seems like an either or type of message. I would really like to get these items back to the original owner... suggestions?

Thanks

It's an old bug - page a GM and tell them that "I can not redeed an item in my own house - can you get it for me?". I've had to do that several times lately.

I had the same problem. The person who placed the items for me still was around. But neither he, nor the house owner were able to re-deed them. A GM fixed it for me.

Yep - I had to page a GM and they had them fixed in about 15 minutes!

Thanks for the help all.

I had this happen one time with an Ankh. The first time I paged I waited over 4 hours with no rely and then had to leave. The next day I paged again and waited over 6 hours... no reply. The third day I waited a little over 3 hours and then a GM finally showed up. I was IRATE, but figured I would be polite anyway as I have worked customer service before and I know that being a jerk never gets them to help you at all.

Well it turns out that my Ankh had been "broken" when I tried to re size my house, and there were now two pieces under the sign post. The GM must have thought that they were two separate Ankhs because they ended up placing 2 deeds in my pack. All in all a frustrating experience, but at least I got something out of it in the end.

This has been happening to me more and more of late. I have a shield deed in my house I can't move now. Before it was skeleton deeds and an ankh.

Kinda frustrating. However, in my case, I was the house owner, I was the one that placed em, but I couldn't axe em.

My hanging skeleton has been in place for 2.5 years now. I've learned to hide him among the plants. I do need to call a GM soon though before I drop the house.
