Hello old friends, and foes, i figured i'd pop my head in and see how everybody has been doing since whenever the last time it was that i checked? What's the population like on siege, i lurked around the forum a bit and saw who's still posting... i hope everybody is well. Anyways, i wanted to mention what i've been up to gaming wise. I'm currently playing Starcaft, DOTA , team fortress, tribes, plenty of other games, if any of you are on Steam you can add me as a friend id there is Saurkor

also I went and played Darkfall which was an awesome experience, incredibly similar to UO and very close in game to siege especially the politics lol. Darkfall is now over, severs shut down on 11/16/12, in preparation for Darkfall:Unholy Wars. Basically think Darkfall 2. It is still going to be full loot open world PVP mmo with plenty of crafting, trading, houses, ships, mounts, and all kinds of similar UO things, even fishing, just like Siege Perilous. There is actually a fairly strong UO presences there, some names here and there that are recognizable.

here is a good site with videos for unholy wars. It doesn't officially start until December, 20th but most of the community thinks they are going to push it back further, but we'll see, if they do release it is going to be insanely fun chaotic goodness and i would love to see old siege faces representing.

It's similar to UO because the developers all played UO and basically tried to recreate the first few years of UO in a new game.

There are so many game play elements that are similar to UO its amazing. Fishing, mining, crafting, owning houses, PVP(First player shooter means you gotta aim, can't just cast a spell and have it hit, PVP in Darkfall is very skill based, sure your character stats and skills very much matter, but you could get whooped by someone way less character skill who has more pvp skill than you.

It's similar to siege because it's still OPEN WORLD FULL LOOT PVP, and i think that is an aspect many of us came to siege for originally, which is Risk vs Reward which is still live and well in Darkfall

Do you know if Masumatek is still playing Darkfall?

I remember Masumatek played a bit, but i don't think he stuck in for the long haul. Wyrm played a while too, before me actually but i played longer, i really wish he had played longer though i would of loved to fought him once i had the character for it, i made the killing blow on him once when he was raiding a city that was owned by NEW. lol typical Wyrm.
