Training detect hidden. Isn't it proper to say "You can't see anything" instead of "You can't see nothing". I never followed English class very well but anything seems proper to me and it kinda bugs me.

Nevermind I am ******** and didn't read it right.

That'll be the German edition...

To Quote Mark Twain

I was gradually coming to have a mysterious and shuddery reverence for this girl; nowadays whenever she pulled out from the station and got her train fairly started on one of those horizonless transcontinental sentences of hers, it was borne in upon me that I was standing in the awful presence of the Mother of the German Language. I was so impressed with this, that sometimes when she began to empty one of these sentences on me I unconsciously took the very attitude of reverence, and stood uncovered; and if words had been water, I had been drowned, sure. She had exactly the German way; whatever was in her mind to be delivered, whether a mere remark, or a sermon, or a cyclopedia, or the history of a war, she would get it into a single sentence or die. Whenever the literary German dives into a sentence, that is the last you are going to see of him till he emerges on the other side of his Atlantic with his verb in his mouth.

Actually thinking about it that is grammatically correct as a statement. As nothing does not exist it cannot be visible, therefore you cannot see it.

Whether it is correct in the context you quote I rather doubt it does indeed sound odd.

There are a few peculiarities in the use of English in UO, my pet hate is the NPC in Heartwood who asks if I'm interested in 'renumeration'. No thanks, I don't want to be re-numbered - maybe if they offered payment, or remuneration, they might find someone willing to help them out....

Nothing is really no thing. "You can not see no thing." People rebel against the implied double negative. So really it actually means you can see something, where as the implication should be that you can't, since that's the intent of the message. So if he *had* seen that, it would have been wrong. But, uh, he didn't so um, carry on guys! Excellent work! :p
