Grettings my friends !

I wish to announce the next Yew event, which will be held on monday night, june 23rd, at 9pm, and called "Yew Settlers".

This event will take you back into history, at a time where the flourishing realm was expanding. Lord British sends settlers to seek out for new lands, across the mountains to the northwest of Britain, where a new city could be founded.

While rewarding when successful, venturing into the wild can be hazardous and dangerous. With good survival skills, and a bit of luck, cunning settlers will make their way through a series of challenges, to reach their final destination, Yew !

I hereby invite all that wish to join us into this adventure, on June 23rd, at 9pm, inside the royal court of Lord British's Castle. Just bring yourself, everything needed will be provided for this adventure.

Tehan, Governor of Yew.

Yew Settlers
Its a wonder that the early pioneers made it through the wilderness to
found a town like Yew.
Governor Tehan of Yew took us back thru time and lead us on an
adventure, the likes most of us have never seen.
We assembled at Lord British Castle, a motley crew of, well maybe not
motley, a contingent of brave souls.
Lady Ivy and her young'n Victor, Lady Falbala, King Ozog, Murdock
Redbone, Sparrow, Yoshimitsu, Paco Pix Patelly, the lovely Lady
Phoenix and yours truely.
The start of a long and exhausting journey was about to begin.
Governor Tehan led us thru the streets of Britain to the docks where
we boarded an Old Long Ship to start our journey.
Not knowing where we where headed all were a little apprehensive, but
the sea was calm and we talked.
All of a sudden the sea boiled with many deep sea creature which we
had to fight off but alas we where soon afire and sinking, we washed
ashore in a deserted island and all had to gather supplies out of the
ship stores that also washed ashore. *a axe, a skillet, a pair of
scissors, and a torch*.
Our fearless leader Governor Tehan tasked each of us to gather enough
logs to build a raft so that we could leave the island and get to the
mainland. We each had to gather 20 logs for our raft.
We all chopped and dropped trees till each presented Tehan with the
required 20 logs and he helped up build the raft.( rowboat deed)
We all sailed together, NE as Gov.Tehan instructed to the mainland.
Once on the mainland we had to get 20 leather and 10 cooked ribs.
This is where the scissors and skillet come in.
We spread out and slaughtered enough forest creatures to obtain the
proper amount of material to give to Tehan.
Upon handing the 20 hides to Gov. Tehan, we where given a new suit of
rare quality (LRC/all 70 resist) we all stripped off our wet and
bloodied stuffs and put on our new suits with great pride.
We looked great!! We also couldn't tell who was who, we looked so much
alike :) (all names)
Governor Tehan led us thru the woods and up roads. We past a brigand
camp and had to fight thru them. Soon we came upon an unexpected hole
in the ground and we had to rescue a couple of our party who had
fallen thru. Continuing thru more woods we finally arrived to a cave
and we ventured in. Gov. Tehan called us one at a time to run blindly
thru a moongate he casted from one end of an unknown area to another
cast moongate. He timed each of us to use as a test of our
orientation skill as new settlers of Yew.
Now for the meat we cooked. Governor Tehan gated us to his castle were we had to eat the ribs each of us cooked :).
After this adventure I think each of us can appreciate what the early settlers of Yew had to endure.
Thank You Governor Tehan for the Adventure back in time.
