If you missed it, the event ran from around noon CST until after 8 pm CST (longer probably, there were still a few monsters left when I logged). EM Hawker was around for A LOT of that time, bringing Jaana and Dupre, a gaggle of healers, and even Mesanna too the party.
The tentacle porn wannabes were serious business. Hawker decided to have us try an un nerfed version first, saying "This is Siege, after all". I appreciated the confidence, but like the prodo shards before us, the HP Regen on those things proved more than a non-Atlantic shard could overcome. Once that was fixed Siege went gang busters.
Several folks kept the event rolling (special thanks to Tanager for acting as the de facto Siege Transportation Authority and continuously gating folks to the next monster). Later, after a full day of piracy, Garth brought cannons to make short work of a succession of the creatures (when Vinnie wasn't floundering around like a landlubber blocking his shot).
I think Bo or Garth even got one of the single tile soul forges. And the loot was very nice on the scalis-like creatures (I know I got one legendary artifact at least).
There should be a lot of extra emeralds if you missed the event, I personally have several if anyone needs to make a trade. They shouldn't be in short supply.
