From what I recall, we had to make new accounts to post during the recovery process (which took weeks). That is when they also started using the Vboard format. Anyone who made a new account during that period had to have their original account (if recovered) tagged with another name, so they came in as "imported_user". Since you apparently were one of the lucky ones who had your account recovered and additionally never made a new one when we were in the "temporary" phase, guessing that is why you escaped the disaster. Or it could have just been a Wulf's Awesomeness backup.

My account was one that didn't get recovered, so it is funny that you can tell my posts by my old habit of signing my name in them...the user name is "guest" on all of them. I had to make a new Stratics account and an admin put my post count of what I could remember last.

(This is one of the pre-crash old Stratics forum posts that was recovered, it has been wrenched from its peaceful resting place and brought into the light this day by Wulf's heinous acts of thread-o-mancy as he apparently reacquaints himself with Stratics and this posting community after more than 2 years.
