With Cus, do you have to be an elf to tame them, or just to ride them?

Elf to tame as well, which I think is a bit shatty.

If you get the cu sidhe pads, that lets humans tame/ride too, right?

If you tame/bond with the pads, then take them off, does it still listen to you?

Must be elf to tame.

Can bond as a human or elf

With pads you can ride and control

Without pads the pet will still listen to you but you can not mount it.

Can't tame with the pads(which is what I think is crap, I accept not being able to WITH pads)

If you take the pads off I know it won't let you ride...not sure about listening.
