I got talked into starting here again, and for it to be useful this time around, i need to get my imbuing done.
I have all crafting skills over two characters , but as i am in no mood to keep 3 accounts running, i have no means to get a hold of stuff to unravel to be able to level my imbuing.

SO, proposition!

I am looking for someone ( or couple of people ) that want to grind stuff for me to unravel.
I will OFCOURSE pay you enough for it to be worth your time, so not only do you get money for the time , but you also get your personal crafter for life! WOW, How can you resist? You can't, can you?

I can sell bulk resources if that would help...then again ya wouldn't be getting the gains from the unravel process.

Either way works aslong as i can level it up.

Wouldnt buying the resources be very expencive? What would you sell me resources for? need to get from .. well.. 0-120

If you're working on lumberjacking, carpentry, and/or fletching too, a good way to get lots of magical residue to work imbuing is to have your carpenter OR fletcher make weapons/bows from oak and then unravel the items. Your carpenter or fletcher character can unravel the items themselves even with 0 imbuing skill, just make sure to lock their imbuing skill so they don't gain if you don't plan for them to have imbuing skill.

Don't forget you won't need anywhere as much in the way of materials/resources for gaining in crafting skills on Siege as on a "regular" shard though because of RoT. You only need to make an item, or just attempt to make an attempt, when it's time to get your RoT gain. Making stuff in between the times you can gain is just a waste of resources.

Once you get high enough I used unraveled stuff the fisherman bring up (ie runed driftwood bow and bronzed armor) I bought at 10 k or less each. That's what people pay for pinks!

I usually go to the abyss entrance and kill the gargoyle shades in the hall, as they can be killed easily with a low level Mage or Myst. bag it up and take it home. if you do not have any fighting skills whatsoever, I'll go grab you a few bags and drop em at your home if you have a mailbox. if you do not have a mailbox, I'll get you one of those and try to meet up with you.

Eventually you will probably want loyalty points to use the Queen's Forge for the extra imbuing bonus anyway. Fastest way to get to 10,000 points in my opinion is Toxic Sliths at 30 point per kill (EVs and run around/loot. RC for quicker kills if you have Myst. Soulstones). These will also give you enough loot to unravel to get into the 60's.

Or if no fighting skills, you buy the resources and add a few different properties to a basic dagger get into the optimum % range (crystal ball of knowledge) and imbue in your house until you hit ROT.

Once you get into ROT, it really doesn't matter how much you unravel. Just imbue per the ROT timer. In ROT you can do this up to 120 using the same dagger and just cranking up other properties as you gain skill level to keep the imbuing property in that sweet range. Making sure the property you are actually imbuing for the gain (i.e., normally luck - residue/citrine) is always using the least amount of resources by raising or adding other properties.

Granted.... extra stuff to unravel will get you to 70 faster, but save any Alacrity (Blue) Scrolls for when you are in ROT. Make sure you have enough gems and basic imbuing materials, then eat the scroll get a gain, then log out and wait out the ROT timer. rinse and repeat. .2 to .5 per log in.

Another good way to gain by unravelling is to tailor leather caps from spined leather, the luck property makes them unravel into that red stuff, they only use 2 bits of leather to make.

Pinks go for 10k per 0.1 in skill value. I am not sure on the Blues though.

There is a nifty quest that will yield a minimum of 3 decent things to unravel...being able to gate is probably needed. Just go to the weaponsmith in Jhelom near the bank. The guy asks you to take something to Umbra...I think.

While in Jhelom you can always knock off a skeleton or zombie and pick up some other stuff....just about any char can kill a skeleton. I'll turn you on to a few of that other resource...I forget the name at the moment.
