There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information on the Prison of Nightmares. I was wondering if anyone compiled a page or thread yet? What I gather is you double-click on unfolded bedrolls until one of them creates a mysterious hole for you to walk over, then you end up next to a jailor who, upon hitting you, sends you to the jail. You then have to navigate your way out of the jail or go to the locked boxes, pick them, remove the traps, steal items, and then leave.
So I have a few questions. First off, I went down there without stealing skill by accident yet I was still able to steal ringmail arms w/ 20 human JOAT. Is this possible? Can anyone steal any of the items in the chests? If so, I may have to work on a different strategy.
Second, is there any secret to changing the path of the walls? Is there a timer or do you just keep getting caught in order to reset the path? I've noticed some paths--perhaps most--do not give an exit, so stealing items during that--time period or whatever--is a waste of time.
Third, what's the point of the items other than "Assassin Honed?" And are the Assassin Honed items always w/o any mods? I ended up stealing a skinning knife w/ just that mod, and it appears like I can imbue it.
Fourth, how do the bed rolls work? Is it like getting eggs from snake holes, or what determines how a mysterious hole is made? I went back thinking the hole would be under the same bedroll but instead my hit points went close to 1 or whatever and an NPC killed me, haha. I was like **** that, not going to check all those stupid bedrolls again. Is there a preferred place to check bedrolls? I was doing it on LVL 2 where the escorts are.
Thanks
