Wow Yew Fletcher Runics 450k. UBER ARCHER?

To good to be true.
Nah. What else we merchants going to spend our money on.

I found 10 today in Atlantic Luna at 450k. Time to buy them. Is there a scam on, bug, exploit or scriptining oh my.

I dont know. But 600k and less makes Yew Fletchers a nice buy for a merchant.

Im using them, selling some and holding some. It is a risk? Who knows.

Anyone have thoughts on if YEWs are worth buying or something amiss.


Same vendor had Heartwood Fletchers for 7 million.
Is there a glut of fine archer weapons on the horizion.

AND WHAT MAKES AN UBER ARCHERY WEAPON. I dont know what Im making. HEHE.

If there isn't some kind of scam or dupe, then maybe it's because of Imbuing? That is the only thing I can think of...

They're more common now that the drop rate in Heartwood has been increased. Prices will continue to fall for a while.

They are that cheap because the drop rate of runics were drastically increased.
just wait a bit longer and heartwoods will be under 5m

Way to frequent. The glut is here. Cheap enought now for me to start learning to crafts a sell bows. Thanks for the info. Looks like we will all have uber bows in a month at this rate. Long live the new breed of archers.

I will try and get my Spell casting mage bow no -1 balance with velocity amd SSI.Sweet.

Don't forget the scaveging drones so you can loot them from your tower while your toon destroys people on Halo7 with his xbox 720.

You're like the most negative person on here. Sheesh.

It's good they increased the drop rate. Fletchers suck cause you have to get SSI on the bow or it's pretty much useless. Yew kits don't even max out at 100% intensity.

I'll take that as a compliment.

Let me guess, you never played Pre-AoS when skill mattered more than having the latest uber items?

I'm also betting you've never even heard the term fire and forgot.

Compared to the quality of armor you can craft with tailor runics, the weapons/armor you can crafty with smithy runics it does seem quite clear to me that fletching runics in general have gotten the short end of the stick. The mods on them are way below par compared to mods you can craft with smithy runics.... IMO. :)

I've played since right after UOR. However, UO is still one of the most balanced games for PVP. I've tried several other MMOs, and nothing touches UO PVP.

I don't know how many people actually make bows in Heartwood. The rate has been increased, but its not all that high right now. Maybe for a short time the drops were dramatically excellent, but as far as I can tell its not now.

450k is crazy for a yew kit at the current drop rate. If you figure in the time it takes to actually get the wood or even buy the wood then you realize you can make more killing actual mobs than doing this at that price. A lot of people never actually figure the total cost into a thing so they sell a bunch of stuff, but they don't actually make all that much for their time doing it.

I don't have a vendor so I'm not trying to jack up the price. 600k is a much more realistic price for that kit imo.

Also, when you hear people saying they got a bunch of hearts in a day here, most of them are lying. A person might have fantastic luck, but honestly the drop rate is not all that incredible right now...

From what I have heard in the crafting forum, the frequency has gone back down after the event. People think the RNG is affected by how many people are doing it. It's possible. I play on Catskills, having started playing UO when I lived on the east coast, but I live on the west coast now, so I tend to be playing when everyone else is in bed. The one and only fletching kit I've gotten in about 16k boards - a yew - I got when it was about 4 am for everybody else and there was only one other person there.

As for it not being worth it, it will continue being worth it for the scripters for some time after we can't really compete with such low prices. They have multiple accounts. One chops while the other makes bows.

All I know is yew kits are cheap now. Add in the time the cost of supplies, Id rather spend 600k for one. The get burned too. Which means supplies wont last.

Whether or not the RNG is back or what I dont know.



I do know that if they keep pouring on the market every one will have
a
40 DI
35 SSI
balanced
50% velocity
50% lightning
and their choice
in about 60 days

No way.. Have you burned Heartwoods? They SUCK. Even on a Heartwood kit you maybe get 3 bows that have SSI per kit.. sometimes more if you're lucky. Plus then add in all the other junk mods, and the low intensity minimums. It doesn't matter if they're 6m and spawning more. Bows like that are INSANELY hard to make.

I burnt 4 Heartwoods the other night, and only got maybe 3 bows I'd even consider using.

You are soo right. Honestly, I get better results with yew kits. I freaking LOVE Yew Kits.
Sure almost every bow we make sucks anyway, but the yew kits aren't expensive at all, and every now and then you hit the lottery.

As a comparison on Retribution when I created my first character there, I burned over 700 uses on a Heartwood kit just to make a single bow that only has SL, ML, and SSI. That would end up costing a few hundred mil on a production shard.

Moral- Fletching kits suck and are a waste of gold. I'd rather just buy a bow from someone else for 25m and save a few hundred.

I know own 47 Yew Runic Flethcer kits.
All bought.


Now Im thinking if a new dupe sweep comes and I have loads of runic. Will I get flagged.

Argh.

If heartwoods fall to 5 million. Ill be buying those too.

I worry about the same thing myself at times... Heard some bad stories the last time they did those bannings.

The problem with that logic is that really good bows cost 75-200 million, not 25.

Don't worry about that. :) Even if they are getting them scripting, they would all have a different code number on them. They are legit items, they might or might not have been attained in a legit manner, but it wouldn't effect their unique internal number (if they really have one).

I'm not worried about this big pile I got down here actually making bows. Its much smarter to buy them though imo. I saw 15 yews for 7.5 million this morning on atl. I started to buy them myself even though I'm getting them. That is a really decent price.

And if i get home I might buy them on atlantic. hehe.


I figure.... what the heck. Worst case... I just burn them for my archer, mage archer, and mage that needs mage weapon.

Plus I think they will have an imbuing value.
