Wouldn't this be great?

I was thinking today, wouldn't it be awesome if by default all pets just used their regular melee attack when told to kill something, but we had a menu that lists all the pets abilities/spells that we could select and put into a que and then pet would use them shortly after being put into the que. That way we could manage the pets mana usage in real time as well as which abilities/spells the pet uses in battle and when (looking at you Word of Death). Would be great for raising pet magic skills and healing. Also any skills we deem worthless we could simply never tell the pet to use. This would be great for PvP as well, instead of pet using random abilities we could select specific ones to be more effective in a PvP fight. I think this would make a huge improvement to the effectiveness of our pets and make the game a lot more fun over all.

The training was based on the imbuing system. You get build what you want The spell and ability usage is like reforging. You get lots of choices but one or 2 of the ones you want hit.

The devs know how to adjust the pet AI. They could put the priorities in the correct places.

That would be fine too. Imagine if your character went to battle like our pets do, using random skills/spells. Not very effective.

YES. I agree with your point, and a choice like this would be awesome, to choose different sets of attack for the pet. BUT : The Devs would not be able to implement it, they would create havoc in trying to do so, and drive one more nail in the "pet revamp"'s coffin. I don't think that they are able to do this frankly due to the lack of manpower. the spaghetti code that has not been updated or likely commented for years..Sooo.. good luck. Your idea is good though.
