Did you ever consider that maybe they've been watching the people who have the stuff pack it up and move it? That maybe.. just maybe.. they followed them home to their "main" accounts while they were doing it (seeing as it seems trains of packies were the preferred method)? Is that kind of planning not even a possibility here? A revert might not be necessary at all.. they might have gotten more than we could even expect.
In fact, i'd go so far as to say that's exactly what happened. Notice all the people crying about being "unfairly banned"? The ones who people have all seen as upstanding citizens or such.. those who people could never see as being cheaters? Ever consider that is because they might just have been like that on their main account as a fallback in case the others got axed? That they use those personas just in case something like this would happen, knowing that people would stand up to support them who know nothing of the reality? The action we've seen is, most likely, the near complete eradication of their "public faces".. something that can't be recovered easily, if at all. It feels like the kind of massive blow the game has needed to cheaters to me.. and it would explain why it all took so damn long nicely, too.
I bet damn well near every one of the people that's complaining was followed back to their "main account" by GMs like a bunch of cattle led to the slaughter. Is it possible one or two were banned unjustly? Sure. Is it probable that most of them are just hinging their bets on people being oblivious "good guys" and sticking up for them? HELL yes. These people have been around for years and know damn well how to manipulate public image and thought, else they wouldn't even be trying to pretend they're innocent.
And so long as one idiot believes them even for a second, they've won.
