Would you spend more money on UO if you knew that EA was 100% guranteed( in writing ) to support UO for at least 4-5 years more? Based on account upgrades , character x fers , multi accounts , more micro transitions?/

Define Support, or your idea of it.

If by support you mean more new content, bug fixes, and the stuffs we always asking for already anyway, perhaps.
If by support you mean, leaving the servers plugged in till there is a mechanical malfunction that finally dooms us once and for all, no...

But I guess, my main answer would be NO. I am already paying more than when I started, and that increase was for increased ingame support and better gm support. And we all know how that went.

Uhm.. that's what we're paying for now and we're still not getting it, why pay more?

Marketing: "UO? What's that?" *cricket*

Expansions: "SA? What's that?" *tumbleweed*

Regular Publishes: At this point I'd settle for an actual Five on Friday, instead of three or two or the copy/paste from UHall we get now, let alone any"regular" updates to do with the game itself.

Customer Service: "I'm sorry, that's not a game-breaking issue. Although clearly it has broken the game for you or you wouldn't have mentioned it. Send an email to [email protected]"

Attract More Players: UO:R, UO2, UXO, UO:3D, UO:KR, UO:AoS..



UO will be around for as long as it will be around, no sense paying extra putting it on life support. If they pulled the plug tomorrow I'd be happy to have been a part of it & had the fun with it that I did, and for all the people I met along the way.

So, learning from past experiences I'd have to say no, because their concept of 'support' isn't the same as the communities hopes/dreams/expectations by a long shot.

Amen. I still have stuff from ML that don't stack. Folks still script and do other cheats. GM's are mostly robots. And then there is KR *gag*.

Said it once say it again........ and they can deny it all they want..... but it certainly seems to me that EA games is trying desperately to destroy UO and get it running in the red.... so that they can justify pulling the plug on it... you see so long as it's making a profit they can't really justify killing it..... but if they can drive all the players out of the game from shear boredom and irritation then they can safely say....."Oh UO is losing money...... we need to shut it down".. and they don't look bad for shutting down a money generating game... but they obviously don't want to support it any longer.... that's totally obvious by the total blunders they make one after another..... starting with AoS.... but they have no intention of coming right out and saying it.. and honestly I don't think they really tell the team that either..... therefore when a team starts to get it together and bring in newer players and bring back numbers..... they totally mess them up by Moving them to another place knowing most of them will quit rather than move.... and they can go back to the game failing and folk leaving.... I believe right at present they are certainly getting close to that goal.....

You don't actually think that the garbage they have been putting out of late isn't intentional do you? Now see I believe this dev team is really attempting to "fix" things and get things back on track.... sincerely trying..... so I wonder where EA will move them to next? Japan?...... Anyway.... that's my opinion... and I'm staying with that...... won't be long now they will either have to move the Dev team HQ or pull the plug.....

It's pretty obvious that this game is going down soon. While i can completely understand why they wont admit it, i can't agree with it. I feel that they owe it to us as paying customers to keep us in the loop but then again EA is known for burning bridges. They are going to milk the subscriptions until it is no longer profitable and then announce the end of it months after they decided it. If they were to announce it now they could no longer charge us because most people won't pay for a game that will be gone.

Promises are great, but we were promised better support before - look where it brought us. EA's promises aren't worth writing down as they really mean very little. That's me saying it nicely

With paying for 5 accounts (+x) I assume I pay enough, therefore I vote "no". Also the last increase had a background the promise of better customer service, I cannot remember, that it got any better:

• GM reduced and Volunteers cut
• rarely interaction of GMs with players, instead high level of anonymousity
• UO boards by EA replaced with Stratics boards as "official forum"
• gametime codes are to get harder and more expensive for international customers
• uogamecodes store not really focussed on selling

Given also all the only vague promises for the future of the game we got in the last year I vote "no" as well.

Otherwise, offers like a bundle account for multiple games like Sony Online does, or a lifetime account offer for veteran players could be tempting.

Can't sell accounts on ebay anymore, they will pull the auction. You will have to use one of the "Other Sites"

Also, it is already "too late" looking at all the accounts being sold.

I already stated how to sell accounts on Ebay. Many accounts are being sold on Ebay. Well, none at the moment....

I wouldnt spend more on UO right now because the shard i have been playing on faithfully and paying for every month with 3 accounts for 5 and a half years, doent get the love and attention it should get.... and WE dont get the statuette engraver tool like all other shards

Actually I would spend up to $15 a month if they supported....

1. In game events(bring back EMs)
2. Had actual GM's who knew what the heck they were doing.
3. They activly sought out and got rid of dupers/scripters.
4. Customer Support, was well, supportive.
5. Actual testing of patches, and fixing the bugs players report.
6. Make each shard unique. Have you seen the banks on some Jap shards?
8. Fix Factions and do it right.
9. Did some marketing to bring new blood into the game.
10. A pre pub 16 shard was introduced! ( I know it wont happen but i can wish right)

Those are some that would make me continue playing this game till the serves burn out.
