Would this be a good gold sink?

Have a npc vendor that sold all of the rare event items for 50+ million.


That would have a impact on the dupers making all this gold,and give people a chance to buy something they really wanted.

Not everyone is going to be able to offord these items, i understand that.But i think it would lighten alot bank accounts.

Would it also hurt the legitimate player vendors?

Still, as a gold sink some form of this idea could be implemented. What if there were some special NPCs like Zircon the Smith who forged the Mystic arms back in Ultima 4. They could sell arties which cannot be obtained elsewhere. By players spending gold to obtain these things, gold gets removed from the game. These NPCs could also increase their prices with each sold artifact. Thus merchantile PCs could speculate, buying these items and waiting for the price to increase so they could sell them for profit on their vendors.
