Hi,
i am looking for special types of wood, i have found oak and ash in common places, but nothing more, i suppose that yew and Heartwood wood will be in yew and H trees, frost in ice lands, and bloodwood?
I haven't found info on stratics skills and craft, somebody can tell me where can i find these "strange" types?

really bloodwood armor gives you 2 hp reg?

Thank You!

Best way to get all kinds of wood is to find you a nice place with alot of trees. (Close to home or a bank). Keep chopping all trees in the area over and over. Eventualy the wood colors will change into something else. You can find all kinds of wood anywhere, Just some wood are more rare then others.

As long as your a GM lumberjacker, you have the chance of getting all the wood types. About a year ago they changed the ore and wood spots so that they randomly regenerated. What I've done is marked 2 runebooks with locations of trees in relatively safe locations that have about 6-8 trees close together. Whenever I hit a tree that has a good color of wood, I move that rune to a empty runebook. Once I've gone through my 2 runebooks, I usually have 4-5 runes with good trees in the 3rd book. Usually you can get a couple respawns of the same wood type until it changes, then put those runes back into the other runebooks and start process all over again. Other people have different methods, but this is how I do it. Some days are better than others.

A book of trees with high numbers of logs per chopping session is your friend. If one of them changes to a rare wood type, you'll clean up, until it changes again.

Damm!!
ok, i have 96.4 in lumberjacking, and now with the same runes i am begining to find nice yew wood, (oak and ash is long easier to find), but...
after a lot of time chopping, my skill dont raise more, nothing, i thought carpentry may be relationed to this (i was 95) and i put my chopper to raise,
now i am gm carpenter, and my lumberjacking is still remaining in 96.4, and i have skills set for down,

what's the point with gm lumberjack!? what have i to do to make it raise to 100??

Thanks

The gains do slow down, and there really isn't anything you can do to speed it up. You are at the point, where if you wanted and had the gold, you could buy the Mel's Corroded Hatchet, which has +5 lumberjacking. That would get you to gm. I've seen them going anywhere from 200K-500K, depending on shard. You might not find one for sale on some of the smaller shards. I've heard people say that if you had 70 or higher swords and equip a 100% poison axe and hit a golem you will also gain in lumberjacking, but I've never tried it. Why hit a golem when you can use a tree and at least get wood.
