with the classic shard wanters here posting i want to chime in and say i miss uo3d after seeing a screenie earlier it makes me miss my bubble headed char but the artwork was so much better i felt than the 2d or current EC.

Third Dawn was such wasted potential... was such a brilliant attempt but it was never refined after it's release..

I miss the fire steed, the fire flames form its hoofs more so, it is those little touches that i miss most.

Sure things were not in proportion but a ogre looked like a ogre, the lords with the skull vest, a demon i prefer the old 2d on those, the red eyes of a mare, the little touches that were present are lacking in the EC

Only thing graphically that bugs the hell out of me with the EC is the total wash paint jobs they do on hued pets. Cu's get away lightly, but Hiryus and Chickens... That and that darned pet calculator (not EA's fault) have wrecked the fun in taming for me.

I know there are a lot of talented passionate people out there who would love to have their creation become a part of uo

I think the Third Dawn client, obvious flaws aside, was the best client visually by far. The animations were great, especially compared to what was possible before and what's been offered since.

If you could splice a graphically refined and fine-tuned Third Dawn client, with the user interface of the EC, I think you'd probably be as close as you'll get to the perfect client for UO.

As for being a "classic shard wanter" though... that's an entirely different kettle of fish all together, which personally, has nothing to do with the graphics of the game, but everything to do with the gameplay.

EA is gun-shy about people in the US doing volunteer work for UO after the lawsuits.
