Actually its when theres no advertising, can't buy it off store shelves, no real ingame support, 90% of the UO gamer population has just given up, when a forum page offers more advertising for different games VS the one people are going there to read about and reminise... (Thinks)... OH CRAP.

Forum activity is overwhelmingly UO-centric at the moment (obviously), but our network is ramping up activity on other portals.

Stratics sites received 40,458 page views yesterday (20 July). The subdomain uo.stratics.com account for 3,235 page views (about 8% of our traffic).

In contrast, My Space has 1.5 billion page views per day and I don't know anyone who uses My Space.

Just checked and found that UHall has 438,935 posts. That isn't counting any of the other UO forums.

All other Stratics forums combined have a TOTAL OF ABOUT 20,000 POSTS.

I'm no math genius but I'd say Stratics is in a whole lot of trouble without UO.

I've gotta admit, that does not break my heart. Being EA's %$#@% for so long is going to *&^* some people off. You know?

Stratics will last, even the uo section. Look at the EAL section. People were still posting there fairly regularly 6 months after the game closed and there's still an occasional post now.

After UO, WoW is the portal that draws the most views. Sadly, the content on the portal is outdated by about a year. I've set up a shiny, new portal here: WoW Stratics! «. We're just waiting for some active staff to build it back up. *wink, hint*

Don't need no stinkin' forums for WoW! I guess I'd post on MMO-Champion if I wanted to interract with the millions of idiots that play the game but I tend to keep my conversations within our guild chat/ventrillo and my observation confined to trade chat.
