They all start with the same stats

The Wildfire Ostard is an attempt to give us a Bane Dragon again. They are bought in Statue form from the NPC at Wildfire dungeon. But, the bane Dragon stats made it be a four slot pet. Like a Bane they have natural poison and Magery, thus they have high intensity. They also have the defensive poison of a Bane and you must feed them Blackrock Stew daily.
So Kyronix fiddled with the stats and came up with a pet that has set stats:

The Wildfire Ostard is vulnerable to Bird Slayer (due to the Frenzied Ostard graphic). Bird Slayer is considered a Super Slayer, so takes +100% Damage from them. The Bane Dragon is vulnerable to Dragon Slayer/Reptile Slayer, and takes +200%/+100% damage from them respectively. This is the only advantage that the Wildfire Ostard has over the Bane Dragon in PvP, it's not vulnerable to a Lesser Slayer.
For PvM, the Wildfire Ostard wouldn't be vulnerable to the "Dracorage" ability that Crimson/Platinum Dragons have, which makes Draconic pets go wild instantly. EMs will sometimes use the Crimson/Platinum Dragon AI for event bosses.
Wildfire Ostards can also learn Bushido/Ninjitsu if the statue is popped in Tokuno.

Would bushido/ninjitsu be good though?
If you want a low damage pet that has defense then Bushido. Or a Novelty pet that hides Ninja.

Or do those with a Hiryu or Triton instead, costs less.

Sheeesus. A pet that hides would be annoying. All the spawn and bosses re-target and go after you instead if it hides :D

I had same opinion before. But gave it a try with junk Triton first.
it is actually pretty good if you have necro archer or thrower who can survive mobs (or fly away fast) but have no skills to heal pet.
I am not sure if it does high damage in PVP (I will not waste ossy for this), but PK definitely didn't liked Talon Strike.
